  1. You really don't have to go through all that. To convert a TG16 to play PCE games, all you have to do is redirect a few of the leads on the HU-Card port. All they did for a territory lockout is switch a few wires around.

If you've got a bit of confidence with a soldering iron, you can hard-wire your TG16 to only play PCE games fairly easily. And with a bit more work and a few switches mounted on the console, you can make the territtory selectable.

I have some soldering confidence I think..

I've been doing it for over 10 years just on videogames alone! ^_^

Also, the TG16 I bought doesn't work, hence the $0.01 price.

And I don't want to actually change anything in my Duo. I rather have an adapter than damage the Duo's card socket with a re-wire or switch. Especially, when I only have ONE import HU-Card ^_^

  2. You guys are such lucky bastards ^_^

    I have like 5 or 6 xboxes, but I can't get a PC-Engine! Prices are astronomical!

    But here's my plan.

I have a copy of Street Fighter 2 here that I'm itching to play.

Since I only have the Duo. I bought a broken TG16 on ebay for a penny + shipping. I'll use the card slot to make my own adapter (since those are also insanely priced).

Then I can finally play my SF2 game ^_^

    PS...

Could any of you tell if the PC-E (compared to TG16) has the same picture quality problem that the Super Famicom has when compared to the SNES?

I just got a few SFCs and the picture quality, PCB design and over all craftsmanship is waaaaaay below to the SNES ( I gutted my SFC and put in a SNES board)

  3. Man, I'm jealous now :p

One of the first places I'd go would be the used video game stores.. I am going nutz looking for a PC-Engine or Super Grafx that won't cost me a couple hundred bucks. Those S&H charges are almost $100 for a game system from HK or Tokyo.

I love games, when you guys post about finding an awesome toy in the box, for a great price, I'm just like that when I get a good deal on an old game or system . More stuff for my "Game Museum" I'm working on :D

Then of course, the shopping areas where the cuties go after school or weekends Man, I'm so pathetic!!! (^__^)

  4. I wish I could go there some day.

But it sucks to not understand anything.

When will those brain chips be available so I can install Japanese-Pro 2.0?

Then I coulg find a really cute girl there, and I could say nice things to her...

We would go out and buy obscene t-shirts together.

  5. PSX was a grey piece of crap system that had LOTS of more crappy games!

The controller is only good for rpgs, and some driving once the dual shock came out. The d-pad is retarded, the buttons sink into the controller when pressed.

It was supposed to be the SNES cd-rom anyway.. Maybe thats why it never really felt like a finished system to me.

The PS2 is only different from the PSX in color, its a black piece of crap system that cannot show bright, vivid colors or any high contrast.

Also, the lenses are cheap. But it makes a great vaccum to suck up the dust in the carpet so later on you get the DRE. I made $140 in PS2 repairs just this morning! And they just keep on coming.

Whats sad is, the PSX actually lasts longer than the PS2. >_< YUCK!

PS: DISCLAIMER, Please, these are my OPINIONS ^_^

  6. I know that typically, thats the way they go. but I have several systems that have the positive on the outside..

I know that most adapters have the diagram on the case itself.

The US SNES: + @ - (positive on the outside, negative on the inside)

The US Genesis: + @ - (same as the SNES)

My Turbo Duo: - @ + (negative on the outside, positive on the inside)

If you have a SFC, and can check the plug with a voltmeter, please let me know ^_^
