    I may have to upgrade to 5 then. I have 4, but didn't really use it much. I'll probably take that template and write out some of what I have tomorrow. I'll post it up here if I can then. BTW, thanks for the info and the template. As for your work. Great job. I picked up this song around September. With the new mini studio I have, I should be recording more. How did you get the drum track? What did you use for that?

    I used GPro 6 actually, it allows you to export tracks as .wav and play with the EQ and tones and such. I did that for the drums and bass, could have recorded bass, but I'm partly lazy. I imported that into audacity, and recorded the guitar tracks using my Zoom G9.2tt with USB.

    I've never put up any videos of my playing, but our band is working on a few of the Macross 7 songs. I've got "Holy Lonely Night" down, working on the solo, and have DYRL down (although it's a rework for a band, but the notes are the same). Also got Seventh Moon down, and now learning Totsugeki Love Heart. Maybe when our band starts practicing, we'll record the practices.

    It also helps getting the guitar of your dreams to play, so I now have my Les Paul as backup with an Ibanez, but the main guitar is a PRS 513 with upgraded fretboard and Maple top.

    Please share them when you have something to share!

    With guitars, it's all about comfort, and then tone. I used my Agile T-7 Telecaster on this whole track. I REALLY love that guitar.

    Speaking of Macross music, does anyone know of a tab form on computer that you can put in the tabs and then simply print or post up the finished product as a .pdf or .doc? I've been looking for something like that so I can put up the tabs I have for many of these Macross songs. I don't write them out, but I'd like to. If there isn't anything like that, I should create one.

    Well, you have Guitar Pro, version 5 will allow you to export as PDF. But if you mean just a generic pdf or doc to wraite a tab into, there is a template here:

    Anyone here have any covers of songs they've worked on? Macross, Mospedea, Gundam, anything mecha related?

    I just did this one today,. My mixing skills arent the best, but figured it would be worth a share here at the least. If anybody up for adding some lyrics, feel free to do so, and send me a MP3.

    You know I would REALLY love to, haha, I doubt I will ever get my hands on one just to play, but maybe if I get an ESP endorsement...yeah...sure...

    Back to the guitar...how much and when? I may not be able to afford it, but I want to know these things.

    P.S. You should totally do a video, I mean, I know you have some skills. Do you still have those Fire Bomber tabs I distributed on here a few years back? Should I re-upload the newer, corrected versions I have?

    Who do I have to shoot, Golgo13 style, to own this????

    For real, it looks to be a HSS Strat with a bit of a modified body. Really nice specs for a guitar player actually, pickups are more a medium output vintage sound and the neck/fretboard on that will be damn comfy and you can get all EVH tappy on the nice maple. I like 22 fret models for that tone. $$$$$$$$$

    Wonder if they will make a short scale Flying V like the fire valk for the 30th =P

    My experience with LTD have been decent, nice feel to them, but a LTD SC207 and a ESP SC are worlds apart, even with the LTD being nice as well... I'm just rambling now.

    Anyway, if someone happens to have one and need to let it go to a pro, track me down. I can give a kidney or something for collateral.

    LOL, went well with the panel. One of the kids from the band that played last year, but broke up now...well he f*cked with my guitar during the wait to get on stage...

    Anyway, we still rocked, MegaRan and Leet Street Boys still said we rocked the palace like Link with a downward thrust. So much BS with this crap. Still never got a dang recording of the show...lol, screwed us out of the greenroom and that good stuff you shouldn't do to free musical guest.

    Not to be a barer of bad news.

    Probably because there are dozens of sites devoted to just the translation of lyrics of songs from japan. Its also why some subber's (hope i spelled that right) don't do the songs in some shows.

    Subbers are just too lazy to time karaoke. :lol:

    I'm just teasing, I know there are plenty of resources for lyrics, but I meant a general music area, all types of discussion, plus stickies of Macross tabs, lyrics and such would only be a benefit to the forum. I'd post alot more.

    Look at the thread I posted a bunch of Guitar Pro files in. It's sunk down past the first page, and well, sure it's still around, but who ever uses a search function? AND if they were looking for tabs, or other info, they'd most likely think it would be in a music section. If there were a music section, I would have joined just to distribute the tabs long ago.Hell, I would have posted the darn GP files over a year ago if I had found the M7 tab request thread when I lurked about this place. I just stumbled on it from google actually.

    Now don't get upset. I'm just trying to make a point, not argue or flat out disagree with you. If it happens, great. If not, oh well. I don't want to anger the admin and make him work hard. Maybe an honest poll could help the cause? I'm willing to help MW out in anyway that is needed. :wub:

    Is that even possible? To be banned from 4chan? Every post seems worth of a ban or criminal charges everywhere else.

    I have been perma banned on 4chan since January 07. Been banned from /m/ a few times. Even after hacks and all, I'm still banned.

    San Antonio Express News....been banned from there, twice. Speak out against biased non-factual journalism....

    I think MAHQ, I mean Mean Aggressive Hostile Queers...I think I was banned not sure, haven't bother since it always turns hostile, even if I am only trying to help by posting scale pictures etc.

    Besides random chatrooms, I think that's as far as it goes.

    Hey, keep my in touch. I need to get on my other desktop and post all my links I have for Japanese sites with Fire Bomber tabs.

    I have a midi of the original Macross opening, I need to import it and fix it up. I've just been so busy getting my band in shape and dealing with kittens.
