auctions of great absurdity

You want really absurd??? Hurin just got $167.50 for a loose super O' without accessories/armor!!!!! I paid around a whopping $30 for my unbroken but tail-less super O' that was sporting a replacement tail assembly within ten minutes of being unpacked. Lord knows I like seeing fellow members make money, but I just don't see how this is worth more than the strike with most armor he was selling at the same time?!?!

I'm with ya there. I couldn't believe it either. It really jumped there at the end.

Of course, I'm not complaining!

Not macross related, but I think this qualifies.

Now that is too funny. I not sure how many have seen Mad TV. He would be a prime canidate for Lowered Expectations.

props to hurin for a sale well done. What was the starting bid?

Looks like I missed my two week window of opportunity to sell some stuff.

Ladic... just what were you searching for when you came across that???!?!?!? It is way to funny. Already relisted AND no longer availible... wonder why??? Still... what were you looking for Ladic?

I think it was either $20 or $35. I was expecting $50-75.

But, I won't be too happy until the person reports that they have received it, in good condition, and is happy. :)

ROTFLMAO

Shouldn't HE be the one paying?

Dude, is that an icepick or an oyster knife in the foreground on the right??

Yeah, If I were a chick, I'd bid on a date with the kid with an ICEPICK in his picture!

lol. I didn't notice that before. Can anyone say "Patrick Bateman"? Although without the hiring prostitutes part.

For only 126 pounds, this can be had:

Funny, but the previous bid was removed. Perhaps E-bay had problems believing 10 million pounds. :p

OMG! :o

You have got to be kidding me.

I'd love to have a look at that board game...or get a good description of the contents. But I don't think I'm going to risk $30+ on it (a) getting to me safely and (b) actually being any good.

There are several board games listed in the MW rpg games section (all of which really look like wargames to me, and all of which I'd also like to get my hands on), but that one isn't there.

Description claims it's a model kit, but the size is too big for a 1/72. Based on that and comparing details, I think it's a repainted Matchbox/HG/Exo-Squad Officer's Battle Pod. Nothing wrong with that! But he even insisted it was a model when I emailed him.

It'd be nice if the pictures were actually usable, looks like they were taken with a really bad web cam.

Strangest deal have ever seen, look the price and shipping cost.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2860548865

and it is open only to allowed bidders

Now this is funny. I gotten 2 Bandai 1/55 shipped from that area to US for less than 1/2 that shipping cost. He is hoping that someone sees the buy it now and does not see the shipping cost.

Umm, perhaps I should point out that it's obviously someone that had an extra or something of that nature, selling it to someone else. The listed bidder is the only one able to bid and there's the big shipping so he won't have to pay final value fees.

destroid? All I see is a used pair of jeans with homemade "easy access" holes. And the price on that is ridiculous!! OMG!!! And the leather jacket is back!!! I think xstoys was going to bid on it, since he's got almost everything macross/robotech related! :p:D:lol:

Here's one that you should look at: a doyusha yf-21

His description states that the item was originally created in 1993 <_< You could buy it now for $100.00 US which is a real bargain

I'm glad you brought that up. I saw the auction and had no intention of bidding on it, but I was wondering what it was. Seems they deliberately chose an angle in the picture that makes the thing seem bigger than it really is--I thought it looked like one of those wooden museum-type models.
