Havent gotten any armor parts for the 31 but i would def want the 31A scheme armor parts..

Maybe I need to get another set of the normal super packs and paint them in gray too.. although, honestly, Messer's set in black looks pretty decent out of the box.

If only the armor pack didn't come in freaking day-glo orange.

To be fair, that was accurate to Arad's Valk in the show.

Was just wrestling with my armored AX. Honestly was a lot of suffering that I wouldn't bother going through with on more than just the one unit I own, even if another was given to me for free lol

I'd rather they finish up those supers, or released sets of those double missiles that work with or without the super's shields. Or as far as pipe dreams go, replace the wing hinges on this and any future 31 releases with the AX hinges with hard points, so Lil Drakens can be slapped on without funny adapters, even if the position is kind of off.

It does work with Chuck's 31e, but there are parts that will need to be colour corrected to match.

Bandai is not going to even bother to re-release the finishing add on sets for the remaining 31 series as they love to half finish a complete series (except Frontier for the renewal line),

From what I remember everything apart from the chest armor fits. And it would be easy to modify the chest arour with a dremelto fit, if you are so inclined.

Im gonna give it a shot. I love the 31a naked, but adore it with super parts. The Messer supers are still way too expensive to get and I like the blue/ black scheme of the AX on the A. Thanks for the advice.

Got this as a Christmas Present pre-order from BBTS.  I never managed to acquire a VF-31A before and I am excited to get one now.  I am highly anticipating May-June 2026, when this comes to BBTS.

I think I did grab one of these from AE at release, but we'll see how that goes.  If they show up in the Amazon bargain bin, I'll probably grab a couple more for customizing.

Those stands are an interesting thing, though.  As much as I appreciate the half-assed attempt at making the stands slightly less ducking fugly by making the mounts out of transparent plastic, I just can't trust them.  The first time I mounted a VF-1 on one, that clear plastic started a stress fracture right at the connection point.  Still a decent base to build a better mount onto, but those chonky plastic cradles have always looked terrible to me, and I'd rather either use landing gear, or stand the valks vertically on their feet.

So, when I receive this from BBTS next year, it will be a lot of "firsts" for me.  A VF-31A that I missed out on and a Bandai DX Chogokin with a special stand.  I am very excited for this and hope that maybe if sales are good, we can get a Arad custom VF-31A with the back custom art that we saw for all of 10 seconds in the series.

NGL, I am tempted to get one of these just for the different number and the Walkure logo on the stabilizers even though I already have a 31A.  The problem with getting multiples of these CF types was that the numbers would all be the same with them being printed on. This is the one thing they should have left off and included decals for, imo.

Maybe Bandai will print "01" on one of the stabilizers, claim it was intentional and totally not a screwup, and then include a decal sheet for it on the next Hayate 31J reissue.

Amusing ...special 'anniversary' stand for a DX which for all intents and purposes, was a cannon fodder valk.
