Right? Orbital Interceptor, Skybolt, Tidal Blast, Depth Charger, Wild Weasel, Hornet. And while we're at it: the other two Centurions: Rex Charger and John Thunder.

And let's not forget Crystal and Lucy! :D

Don't forget Shadow. ;)

They're looking a bit better, although I'd like to have seen the exo-suits differed a bit more. At least the helmets are different. All said though, looks like a neat set!

Yeah. And I'm glad that they decided on making this 'cartoon' colored version.

Though it looks like they will be replacing the plastic tray based on their Facebook post. Some were concerned about the shoulder pads positioned that way since it's not on hinge connector. It will be just be in arms down layout. Probably in a rectangular shape box as well.

Ramen Toy released a teaser image for Apache Commander (aka John Thunder) and its Thunder Knife weapon system under the 80's Commanders Retro Series line. They made it clear that 'Retro Series' is compatible to the old Kenner toys. They're planning on producing the weapon systems and the additional characters that wasn't produced or made back in the 80's. Namely John Thunder and Rex Charger. And producing down the line any unproduced weapon systems for the original members.

So these then are effectively the ones Kenner never issued in the 80's, just designed and made by Ramen?

Yes. Making them compatible with the old toys. :good:

New packaging layout.

I kinda prefer the 'Power X-Treme' layout above. But a lot was concern regarding the shoulder pads, which they don't have in the animation, leaving in the packaging for a long period of time. Especially from the MISB community.

I think I was one of the first people to get the original 80's commander releases, and after only opening up Ace I immediately sold them all off and made my money back, like the day I got them in.  It wasn't so much the body sculpt or the weapons, but the weird bald extra heads that really turned me off.  I did po the v2 cartoon release though, and it looks like that was the right choice.  I hope the weapons are a bit more sturdy now, but otherwise I think these should do the trick and can't wait to get them in hand.

Looks like the Apache Commander is going to be a backers-based project. They need 800 orders for the project to get it made due to factory minumum production requirement of 1000 sets. Suggested retail price is US$199.95. Early bird backs price will be US$140.

It will be compatible to the original Kenner Centurions figures but will feature more points of articulations than the Kenner counterparts.

Working prototypes will be shown by June with delivery in December if the target number of backers has been achieved.
