TredHedJon Posted February 24, 2021 Share Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) Hello all, SORRY THIS POST SHOULD BE MOVED TO ANIME SUBFORUM (I messed up putting it in the Macross forum and I cant figure out how to move or delete it) I have been trying to track down an anime, off and on, for several years. I had received a VHS tap from a pen pal (I think) that was filled with self made Anime Music Videos. Various things like the Inbit invasion sequences from Mospeada, set to REMs End of the World as We Know it, and Macross' Hikaru's first VF flight set to Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly. Things like that. Lots of bad quality transfers from tap to tape and such. One of these videos (and it was just a partial one as about half of it was recorded over), was of something that looked like it could have been a sequel to Mospeada set maybe 50 years into its future? On an alien world, two characters are racing around on what looks like a hover version of a Cyclone. They are eventually hunted and attacked by what looks like a cross between an Inbit and a Metagross pokemon. It rounded and sleek like an Inbit scout/Trooper, but four legged like the Metagross. Unfortunately I have lost that VHS tape or it wore out, so I cant even take a pic of the image anymore. I am sorry if this isnt the right place to ask, or if this is even related to Macross. But I though this would be one of the better places to ask. Thanks for any help. Jon Adding pic of Metagross as example. Can you give us a bit more to go on? Like what was the approximate vintage of this particular anime? Was it all 80's stuff? A mix of 80's and early 90's? TredHedJon Posted February 24, 2021 Author Share Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) It could have been a mix but the only videos I remember are all Robotech related except for the one I was looking for. A couple of videos were Mospeada A Macross one A Southern Cross I can only guess the unknown anime was of the same vintage as the animation style was similar.
