Stampeed Valkyrie Posted January 5, 2023 Author Share Posted January 5, 2023 Random text from DHL and surprise my KC God of Flame arrived. Outer Box is pretty standard KC fare at this point. I find myself missing their vintage style artwork on the Hero Valks. As I mentioned previously I am not a fan of the G1 Jetfire color schema. In this case though I like the metallic Red on the FPs I think it makes this one stand out. Inner box is standard fare, back of box not pictured shows the VF-1 top down line art in plane mode. Thank you KC for doing away with the Horrific Neon color Stands!! And lastly the bonus goodies which I almost lost when I was opening the box.. I did a quick once over and I am not noticing any immediate QC issues. Decals appear to be where they belong and nothing appears out of shape. Spark-O-Matic Posted April 13, 2023 Share Posted April 13, 2023 I often read this forum at least once a week but it seems some of the wisdom ,education & experiences from other members just did not rub off on me enough, was several warnings on this tread, but I didn't listen.! I should have took the advice to buy from BBTS were at least I could have returned it, but most likely they would have spotted it beforehand. Got mine from KC and tried contacting them, 5 Emails, 2 phone calls were I was put on permanent hold, two return tickets I put in on the website were cancelled without reason or contact. no customer support and treated like it was a bad deal gone down on craigslist or something. I'm assuming this is for investment purposes? If so, have you tried to ask around regarding something sealed but missing a serial number sticker? I only asked because before I learned that on comic books there was some issue that has misprints, made them rare. But if you're really going to put this as an investment, then you can just get another one and have that graded, and enjoy the one without the sticker. As of a few weeks ago, a bunch of parts that I needed to make several of my VF-1's "whole" were finally sent to me with profuse apologies. So, for now, I will still keep buying KC Macross stuff...especially the teased Destroids and Enemy Mecha....better late than never as the saying goes! That's great advice and right on point. going to keep it and buy another. it could be rare the sticker was missing or they made more then 999? we may never know but hopefully that would not be the case. I would not say its so much an investment just more of preservation & display reasons. considering often what a premade case costs for popular toys often its only 20 to 30% to have someone give a professional opinion on it then seal it up to prevent further damage. I'm thinking this "deluxe" treatment will really work well with the Zentran and Meltran characters with their non-armor outfits...assuming any of them ever get made... My only minor complaint is the diffucult in mounting the googles...they should have just added one more front hair piece with the googles molded into it.... Not bad, but the natural scale of actual stitching always throws off any figure with clothes, and frankly gives me that doll vibe. Plus, the hair is one thing, but the animation-accurate molding and painting of the googles just doesn't sit well with me versus cleaning that up and making it more concept-accurate. Just my $0.02.
