N-Y thread - help, complain, rejoice....meh

My Gundam order from NY came in finally. It was 12/24/2020 release and went by surface.

It would appear NY really has issues with Macross and other toy-related stuff but has no issues with P-Bandai Gundam crap. 

Still waiting for a response for all my tickets that have been open for months for my DX Supers

Nice!  Good that some things are shipping.  Aside from my DX Kakizaki and Strike Set, I'm still waiting on a response as to where my 0083 Robot Spirits figures are...

The site seem buggy, (like pics not showing up). Also, their are trying hard to make closed preorders with summer release dates opened again....obviously only with a ' Pay immediately' option. In other words, forget your Paypal refund if anything goes wrong. Even though I've received most of my latest preorders (supa delayed). I'm going to stay clear from NY until they get their sh*t together (or go under). The owner of the company has been banned from some site last November for Paypal fraud, so seems he's not exactly new at this.

Yeah I noticed their tweets and site are missing images. 

What happened with the owner? Where can I read about it?

Sorry...late reply....Yeah, it was on website that specialises in selling accounts, such as video-games accounts, YouTube Channels, Instagram accounts, Twitter etc etc. As to why he was even on this site to begin with...go figure. But it's the same guy. He's the CEO of NY. Not too hard to find as most of his details are online.(he's actually on FB too, although hardly ever uses his account since he created it). You find a lot of stuff with a little digging...

With that said, seems people are still willing to take the risk as not long ago the DX VF-1D& Fan Racer was put back on preorder with immediate payment requested...And well, people still took the chance. I'd missed out on it but not willing to get stressed out with them until/if they ever get their sh*it together, even though I did eventually receive my stuff, it was stressful af....Not to mention the impossibility to contact them whatsoever via ticket, live service or phone....

I still have a coupon with them I'm tempted to use to order something and file paypal claim if they fail to deliver just to get my money back. :ph34r:

Although they are still putting new items everyday, the site is becoming buggy (mostly pic pbs and removal of any ways of communication with them). Not sure what I would do personally if I still had a coupon? Probably wait until there's something I truly wanted.

On the other hand....it's not that difficult to find stuff to buy, I'd more than likely end up using it ( in case they go bust or something...)

When did you send a ticket regarding these?  Great news in general though.  Gives me hope.

Meanwhile dozens (maybe hundreds) of us never got our items or a cash refund.

They can fix things by paying us back.

Yeah checkout their facebook and twitter feeds.  Many many customers still complaining about un-shipped orders and radio silence on support tickets.

 

Really sucks, I liked shopping at NY.

Maybe there is a ray of hope.  I opened 8 separate tickets with NY that I never recieved a response to, spoke to online "support" several times with the standard "you will be contacted" jargon concerning TV Fast Packs I never recieved after also paying additional fees for shipping.  Which is funny because they responded iimmediately about that and were glad to take more money for shipping before the release date.  After that radio silence. 

 

 I just wrote it off as a loss vowing to never spend cash with them again seeing several members here in the same boat as well as their FB page flooded with similar complaints.

 

This morning I recieved an email from them apologizing for the delay.  They indicated they were going to try and ship soon but April 29 - May 5 is Golden Week and it's possible that shipping will occur after the holiday.  My order finally moved to processing.

 

Curious if anybody also got a notification.

I notic they have quite a number of pre-orders that require full payment whereas other retailers only ask for payment upon release. This is a cause of concern as they used to require upfront payment for only TWE stuff and not the normal ones. Are they trying to get the most money before shutting down?

The only problem with paying up front is when they can't deliver the product.  I'm still waiting for my DX Kakizaki and couple Gundam Robot Spirits that I paid in full but still say pre-order for release in 2020...

Resurrecting an old thread because this might help those who got screwed by NY, or maybe we can put the screws to them.

I pre-ordered the Super Dimension Fortress Macross - DX Chogokin Movie VF-1 Strike / Super Parts Set - Limited Edition 7Jun2019 and still haven't received a response from NY.  Strange because I ordered a missile pack after this and they actually sent those.  Anyway, for those that got screwed by NY:

If you don't speak Japanese, you will need the assistance of someone who speaks Japanese.

My wife called NY an hour before closing and it went straight to VM, so she called the Ehime Consumer Affairs Center in Ehime, Japan (where NY is located).

Looks like they have an e-mail address at this local level, but it will probably be the same, Japanese required:

Spoke to someone who has opened a case to investigate.  I would suggest the more cases against them, the better, so they can see the severity of the fraud.

Not sure if I will see my money back, definitely not counting on NY actually having the DX Chogokin Super/Strike parts, but at least this might be a step to get this fraudulent company shut down and prevent them from victimizing more people.

Things they will ask for:

Company name

Company website

Name of the item you ordered, description of the item you ordered, your order number, method of payment.

What attempts have you made to receive your goods and what you have done to acquire a refund

Probably some other stuff, but it would be good to have this stuff ready when they ask.

Anyways, my wife will call her back next week to follow up, we'll see......

This sounds like a good idea...would be nice if a single case could also include all of the other order numbers from MW members that got robbed
