Bandai DX VF-1J Hicaru and Bandai Hi-Metal VF1 series

Good morning everyone,

Just got back to a place where I can slowly begin collecting again. The title above says it all. I know that the 1/48 Bandai VF-1J is gonna be rough, but its a beautiful piece. I have checked on Ebay and the price is a little steep but, if I can find it here first that would be ideal. As for the Bandai VF-1 1/100 series I plan to slowly pick away at obtaining those. Thank you for looking.

Shop around and compare, use your discretion. They've offered the lowest prices on initial preorders but the customer service side is not that good.

Never purchased fro there before. Are they reliable?

Yes. There’s some issues from time to time when it comes to their customer service like most stores does. But Nippon-Yasan is one of the big go-to Japanese store like AmiAmi and HLJ. Esp with anything exclusive releases.

Don't bother getting fast shipping from NY: they charge a serious premium for it, and it still usually takes them 1-2 weeks to ship things out anyway. Sometimes longer.

Also, don't pay for things in $, pay in Yen. Their exchange rate is a ripoff.

List updated. See I just missed 2 I was looking for being sold by @warrhead

On another note anyone have experiance with Mandrake? I see they are second hand. But I dont think I'll find the VF-1S Hikaru elsewhere for a reasonable rate.

I made my first order through them recently.

0 issues, fast delivery.

They seem to be a trustworthy outlet.

Can't say enough good things about Mandarake, everything I've gotten from them is well packed and in great shape. Many of the things they claim as a damaged package is better than you'd get at retail. The one thing to keep in mind with them is their limited shipping options. Expect to be paying for EMS or similar for anything you purchase. They do sometimes offer small package SAL, but the pricing doesn't seem to much off that for EMS. Great for bigger packages, but it can be a major price increase for smaller items.

can confirm, [with my single purchase at least...]

I picked up the Macross Frontier Giant movie Box-set from them, they said; Box Worn, Opened.

It was packaged in a manner that I can only describe as: "The person who bought this might be a person to whom this is precious, so ****-it, we're going to pack it that way!"

To my surprise, the Box Set Itself was, in fact, open and only slightly shelf-worn. Even Better: all the discs inside were still Factory sealed.

I've spent probably several thousand with Mandarake at this point, they're very up-front about item condition, and items are usually in better condition than you'd think from the description. The only people I'd advise to stay away are those who need their boxes to be in absolute mint condition with zero shelf wear at all.

Just recieved my VF-1S Hikaru 1/100 from Mandrake. "Heavily Damaged box" had a few very minor dings on the box. I know where I'm going to be getting my Valks when not buying here. Very happy with the outcome.
