I wonder how bbts is selling this Macross item.  Harmony Gold giving up their BS fights.

IIRC, I think HG only have rights on the SDF series and its mechas outside Japan. Past that series, like Macross Plus Valks for example, they don't.

But please do correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

It’s got the UN Spacey kite, which HG absolutely claim as theirs outside of Japan.

BBTS may just be ignoring them, or possibly have worked out a deal due to being a major distributor of HG licensed merchandise.

Ah. The UN Spacy. That I forgot. Thanks Sanity. :good:

What's so funny that every time this topic or concern gets raised it automatically boils your blood. It's not because to what happened to Macross but it's more of moral and decency questions. It's so twisted. It reminds me of it whenever I get to watch Italian Job and how Lyle keeps on claiming he invented it. So twisted. :diablo:

Anyways, back to regular programming.

Something different as I was cleaning. Complete (as far as I know of, including variants) figures that have been released. I don’t think ARII ever produced the rest of the line up. I believe #1, 3, 7, 8, 10, & 11 were never produced painted. Let me know if I’m mistaken.

The ones you are referring to were only prototypes. Unfortunately, they never had a release. But I am pretty sure someone out there could have these in a private collection.

Happy New Year 2021 MWF!!!:hi:

I couldn’t find a better place to post my inquiry but it is relevant to collecting so here it goes. This evening I was going through some stuff in my closet where my collection is stored. Some are bubble wrapped, some are in cardboard boxes. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is a full-on infestation, however I did bump into a tiny silverfish. Hello & splat, no biggie right? but then I don’t like the idea of these crawlies residing in the closet taking advantage of my no direct sunlight rule. I’m sure you’ve had’em too somewhere along the way as a collector in your attic, storage room etc. What is the most effective way to deal with that?

I hate those! Only had them when I had stuff in cardboard boxes and outdoor storage sheds. You need to keep moisture and especially damp cardboard out so I recommend using plastic bins with tight lids.

I've been going through this thread and admiring everyone's collections and decided I wanted better lighting for my curio that houses some of my collection.  The top down LED light was just not doing what I wanted as I put more collectibles on the shelves. Lots of shadows.  I decided I want to do some LED lighting, but many of the pictures I saw had bright LED spots and I wanted more of an even light.  I noticed some people used diffusers, but the LEDs are so spread apart that you can still see the LED diodes as dots.

I recently went to Lowe's to pick up some other supplies and spent time looking at the LED strips they had. One caught my attention. The top one looks like it has two types of LEDs (W - White? and CW - Cool White?) and the bottom black one has one type of LED but spaced farther apart.  The middle one caught my attention because it looks like a solid piece of LED. If you look closely, there are actually several LEDs under the yellow strip, but they are compacted really closely together. The yellow covering seems to be some sort of built in diffuser.  It's not cheap ($59.99), but it comes with power adapter, dimmer, 2 wire connectors (~2 inch wires), and 2 straight connectors.  The light emits 4000k at 50W total if using the entire 16.4ft.

I bought 1 and installed it last night. It looks amazing and bright, but I'm still fiddling with my collection to get good placement and pictures.

A little research on the internet shows the product I bought is COB (Chip on Board) vs SMD (Surface Mounted Device) and is fairly new to the market. Anyone else here looking into LED lighting and know more about this COB type LED light strip?

After Christmas I was able to invest in and get a bigger display cabinet so I could expand my collection out of the single Detolf that they were all in for however many years they were there.

With the expansion in space, I was finally able to put on display the VF-25F that I'd had sitting in its box for well over a year.

2 questions.

1) When I bought the VF-25, I also purchased a Smoke Clear display stand in with it as a bundle.  I've subsequently read that it doesn't fit exactly with the renewal version that I have.  Is that correct?

2) I need to invest in a second Yetistand... but I've also read that Yeti has been out of action here for a little bit... is there any likelihood or means to be able to purchase a stand with his website being down still?
