Bandai's VF19 Advance Problem, Need Help

I wouldn't use raw acetone, but would certainly try acetone-based nail polish remover. Don't soak the blob----apply remover to a q-tip. Soak q-tip, remove the excess----more than damp, but not wet. Swab/rub over glue. Repeat. It'll take a while, but should work, with no damage to the plastic. Now, the little black stencil wording is almost certain to be removed in the process unless you mask I it and are hyper-careful with where you swab---but IMHO that's a small price to pay to get rid of the blob. (And the black sensor area is likely to lose some paint---but since it's recessed and black, that bit should be easy to repaint and look factory-fresh).
