Very clean lines!

Seventh Moon. I remember them making a YF-29 conversion for the VF-25. They said the conversion kit would be available next WonderFest on their blog. They also had a YF-30 on display.

HLJ is offering Macross Delta Walkure Decals with the purchase of 1/72 kits.  If you have one in your PW and you ship it during the campaign, you will also receive the decals, but you cannot purchase one to your PW.  It must ship during the campaign.  Luckily I had not shipped my Mirage VF-31 so I should get a set.

Mmm, can't wait for this kit (and the DX later).

Curious though, is it just me, or is the folding fin on the gunpod not very... uh, good?  The ones on my Keith kits tend to fall out of place and flop around to the point where I'm considering gluing them down.

Looks like there are crests for the other characters as well as Bogue's unit there. Wonder if the other markings are there as well. That would be an odd move by Bandai if that's the case.

Figured they were going to follow suit as with their mecha line. Bogue's would be a single with two more following with the choice of pilot markings. The twins blue hues seems so close as to almost allow for a single purchase and just go half/half with the design, maintaining a 5 on 5 ratio. Here they seem to have left out one of the twins unless they share crests, which makes sense if it does denote family and not squardron.  Starting to wonder if I shouldn't add at least one more to the warehouse now.

I ordered one, actually against my better judgement. My last experience was not so great. But that was a VF-25G and I'm of the opinion a LOT has changed. So, grabbed a 31F and their 262 ba. We'll see how it goes..

Seems I'm the odd ball around here, as I like the 1/72 transformable kits, have them all except for the Deculture versions, Tornado, and Armored versions of the VF-25.  Brera's Vf-27 has been the only one that hasn't wanted to stay-put  in battroid mode, that has been remedied. Granted the Strike/Super Parts backpack attachments for the VF-1 is a joke even compared to Toynami's 1/100 line; still Hikaru's 1S wears them w/o glue or tape and still balances on his own.  Bandai has certainly made progress as this line continues, the VF-31 and SV-262 both shine above what has previously been released; IMO.

Oh, I had no idea it was actually up for order!  Put in an order for a pair at HLJ.

Having built two of Keith's plane now, I'd say the 262 is probably the most well built of the transforming kits yet.  Takes a little massaging to get the parts all lined up, but it's a sturdy little brick in fighter mode, and love putting them together.

Oh, I like them too. I just spent way, way too long on the one I completed years ago (took me over a year at my slow pace) only to realise transforming it would ruin all the hard work I put into it. So it has remained in fighter mode since it was finished, droopy legs and all.

I snapped a couple of quick photos to show it's still around and still on display. DX is behind it. Pardon the clutter. I snapped these when I'd moved them out of reach of little fingers the other day. Guests with kids are always a bit of an unknown...

I very much hope the new kits will be more paint friendly and less of an issue to transform. Though I daresay, my focus now is more about painting accents and details than doing the whole thing.

I'm also hoping frame parts are a little more durable when it comes to painting. I cracked a few of the leg and arm pieces on the 25G because I used an oil and low odour turpentine wash on them. I will likely not do that this time, just in case.
