I just got mine yesterday, pretty similar experience (I've only done 4-5 different valk types).  This one is definitely tough, it honestly took me almost an hour to go from fighter to gerwalk.  Had to look at several videos, haven't even done battroid yet.  The good news is, I think you can skip the hardest part of gerwalk (connecting two pegs into a bracket) if you only want to go to battroid.

The vf-31 looks significantly easier, but I won't get to try that until the Arad version is out.

That's crazy! More a puzzle than valk then. I'll be sure to keep the patience on standby. I think once one is in battroid mode it will stay as that. It's kind of strangely annoying when a valk looks good in all modes. Means you have to buy two or three just so you can be happy with them on display. Otherwise it would get frustrating to choose which mode to put it in. Plus if it is difficult to transform then that's even worse.

Maybe they're going to wait another year or two on the 262 and do a "renewal" version? Eh, probably not. The VF-25 made sense because it sold so well... spending more money on a mold that didn't sell well probably wouldn't make the accountants happy.

Depends how much of a re-work it is. If they re-use the majority of the parts, the new mold costs could be kept quite low. I think the major candidate for a re-design is the complicated wing winging assembly, which could be re-done with just a few small parts (leaving the wing and body panels themselves alone).

My impatience for the 31A is starting to mount.

Patience good sir, I suspect that the 31A will be one of the next Holy Grail must have Valks... and you'll soon have three. The wait is worth it. B))

I'll probably cave in and try to snag a fourth if extra show up someplace online.

Doesn't NY say it won't be in stock with them until the 24th?

yes, They sent email notifications that the release date will be on the 24th of March (original placeholder was end of March).

Yes, where is the official video showcasing the transformation?

It should, right?

My Mirage 31C has removable intake covers, can't see why they wouldn't be on this one. Usually Bandai always shows off their Valks with the covers on. B))
