I actually expect the reason we're all getting HLJ cancellations is because we found the listing so late. They're usually right on time, but we used to depend on the advanced search to find the listings. WIth that functionality gone, the bots that get a huge advantage, because they can just parse the site at breakneck speed and clean out the orders before we've ever seen the listing. I would say the 31A is a particularly lousy experience, because otherwise, while they seem to be slow across the board right now, they've at least been pretty reliable at sourcing the TWE items. What concerns me about the the 31E is their initial order ending so quickly, and then their continued sales at a higher price, but only for pre-paid orders. They know full well that the item isn't going to be released before everyone's Paypal claim dates are long past, and they already have your money. Their "store credit" is about as skeezy an arrangement as I have ever witnessed in an online retailer, and would have their business run out of town if it was located in the US. The only reason I've trusted them with at 31E order is that it's the first item I wanted from them that qualified for me to use the store credit from my cancelled 31A order. They already had my money, and I've got nothing to lose trying to spend it. I'm absolutely going to try and source another 31E from somewhere more trustworthy, but I'm also more than willing to play chicken with them over this 31E order. I'm not going to cancel, and if they can't deliver on time, I'm going to pester them until I either get the order, or they cave and give me my cash back. Checked my account and my order is still there, thankfully. What a fiasco though. Sucks for the peeps that get screwed because of HLJ's crappy website. hachi Posted February 8, 2019 Share Posted February 8, 2019 Well, HLJ has lost several orders from me because I couldn't get to the payment page as that progress circle thingy just keeps on spinning. I've had more success recently though when I turn off my adblocker so maybe that was one reason. That said they should fix that site of theirs because they'll lose orders that could have made them more money. As for the VF31E, it looks better than I imagined. Unfortunately I don't have the budget and the space for it. I will be content with my one and only VF31C. The mobile site generally works better, at least for me (maybe due to reduced traffic? At this point it's highly doubtful to order one at NY since we're not sure if it's going to be delivered. But as far as speculation goes, NY will surely find a way to accommodate all of it like they did on the VF-31A. That is assuming that all of the members here got already theirs after a year of waiting. Though now we can't guarantee how long we're all going to wait for it. I think they will just fill them by already preordering from other local stores, In a way you are using them like a proxy service, they just don't tell you that.
