The more I look at the open weapons pod, the more I want to make single piece sets of doors to swap in and out.  The little hinges inside and the misshapen doors kind of ruin the look for me.

Not that I leave mine out of fighter mode anyway, but you know... :p

Ah cool! yeti stand to the rescue! Already made me imagining 5 valks lifting off in one pic!

I am already thinking about the shot of all 5. :D

Yep, YetiStands are awesome, it great that the VF-31 can be shot in an almost vertical position on the stand.  Not many of the other Valks can do that.

Saburo, these shots are amazing! I really don't like fixed figures in general but these blend very well with this perspective.

Thank you @Xigfrid!

Hell of an eye, Saburo. Always a treat when you share your photos. I have my -31 sitting in front of me, but somehow even seeing it in person doesn't compare to your glamour shots!

BTW, in the shot where he's holding his gunpod, did you use the poseable hand or the fixed pose? I tried and failed to get mine to hold it with the poseable hand and just stuck it back in the backpack. Kinda vexing on a high-end toy.

Thank @M'Kyuun I appreciate it!  I do my best to enhance but not over due it the pics.

The poseable hands are terrible for holding the anything but the knives, I tried to use them but the gunpod always falls out of position.  I used the hand with the index finger extended, the extended finger helps keep the gunpod aligned straight.  I wish Bandai has figured out a way to put a slot into the handle that fit into the palm it would work better.

Thank you @spacemanoeuvres!  I was planning to do a Walkure and Valk photos and I found both sets for a really good price on Ebay and ordered them.

Haha ok, I guess I am not a monkey.

Opps sorry I missed your question, I used a YetiStand to elevate the Valk. :D

  Nice pic!  Yes, it will be a while before Delta Platoon is complete, its going to be along wait, at least Mirage is next and I hope the VF-31E is next. I think Chucks Valk is more interesting that Arad's because the Radome.  More than likely Arad's is next for PO and last will be Chucks.

:D

Nice to know a Yetistand can hold the Valks vertically. I've been planning on displaying most my 31s just like that with SHF Walkure figures.:clapping:

I don't think anyone would notice or care if you overdid it; you do more than fair justice to these figures. You're doing Bandai's job for them, beautifully showing off their product in a public setting- free advertising for them, and your work sells it better than official photography.

Fixed pose hand- so I'm not the only one having trouble trying to get it to stay in the poseable hand. Y'know, if they'd designed the hand guard to swivel from the front instead of the rear, there would have been ample clearance to make it work, as the hand wraps around the grip just fine, and has sufficient tightness to hold it, but it has to remain straight. there's simply no way to attach it to the arm that way because of the guard. Poor engineering, at least where the gun is concerned. Everything else on this valk is well executed,  a far more enjoyable toy to transform than the -262.

Thanks for the response, Saburo. Much appreciated. Looking forward to a group shot once all these -31s are released.

Haha thanks M'Kyunn, that would be the dream if I could shoot official product photos for them. I'd even take payment in Valkyries as a freelance photographer.

Agreed,  one of the blemishes in the VF-31 IHMO engineering is the poseable hands and another is the metallic flake canopy, these are minor issues in a great toy.

I am already planning to do this shot, I am working out how setup the YetiStands for this shoot and I'll be using the SQ Figure Walkure. Hopefully the all the Walkure SHF Walkure before then.

Different head.  Two lasers instead of one.

Thanks, may I ask if any others share the VF-31C mold?

It's all here, take a look and decide if any of them are 100% alike

Thanks great resource. Paint, minor head variations, VF-31E radar dish different. Seems 99% same mold, unless there are hidden mechanical design differences

Cool B)) I like the c, e, and j the most right now. Will definitely try to snag doubles of each. Any word on the 31-e release/po?

I wasn't able to secure a 31-c during po either <_<

Well the F was still available on Amiami until just the other day, so maybe that's reason to be hopeful the C will be easy to find at release.

I only just got around to taking the missiles off of my 171's and trying them out on my 31's and I LOVE how it looks loaded out.  I highly recommend it and anyone interested should pop over to the Workshop thread and hit up Xigfrids shape ways for some Masterfile load outs.
