Franks & Sons weekly report.

Recommended Posts

hey you Franks & Sons regulars, any of the vendors carry Kaiyodo or Bandai SOC Evas? I'm also waiting on the Koenig Monster, but thats a couple weeks away I'm guessing.

The Evas will take some hunting. I can't think of anyone offhand.

I would assume that they do have the monsters. Other people have gotten them in so I would think the vendors would have them already.

treasure island for sure has the bandai ones. The silver, black, and yellow ones is what they have left. I still need to pick up those and the blue one. Never got a chance to do so. Too much other stuff to buy. :p:D:lol:

I'll be in SoCal on Feb 26th in the afternoon. What are prospects like at F&S at that time? I won't have much time so I'll prob be doing a quick dash through. Any particular stalls I should pay attention to? Any that closed down that I won't need to run over to?

well, I woudln't go too late...I'd try to get there around noon or 1 PM. there's quite a bit to see if you're not only into japanese toys...plus you want to walk around to try and get the best deal.

some dealers close early but for the most part I think it should be good until 4 or 5PM.

they're pretty much scattered but there's one aisle that starts with happy meal toys that has 2-3 sellers. and of course, TISINC is all the way on the other side...

1 VF-1 2NV: the max super goes for $175 I believe....don't think I've ever seen the other items you're lookin for there.

Kev: yah...def a rip.

Treasure Island is at the end of aisle 200. Yoshi and two other Japanese importers are in aisle 800. You'll see the aisle number at the end of the aisle on a wall banner. Hagi is located near the end of the aisle that runs parallel to San Jose Ave. Happy hunting! B))

I just got back from F&S's. They had some Star Wars hoopla goin' on. Anyway, I picked up a couple of Nichimo kits. I came up! A scout regult and a destroid defender for 5 bucks each! These are hard to find.

yup, I was there with Bigkid24 and sneakers. The star wars guest were Ray Park (Darth Maul), the guy who played chewbacca, and the guy who played boba fett. :p:D:lol:

I saw them there too. Peter Mayhew aka Chewbacca was a tall lanky fellow with an almost afro'd out hairdo, almost hippie looking to me. The kid who plays young Boba Fett was there, he looks like a teenager now. And Darth Maul aka Ray Park aka Toad from X-Men was there as well. He's shorter than I thought. I'm about 5'10" and when I walked by him, he's probably around 5'8". Seemed like a nice guy taking pcitures. There was a life-size manequins of Darth Maul and Jar Jar Binks as well there. Someone also had a life-size remote contro0lled R2-D2 there. There were some fanboys dressed as storm troppers and jedis walking around the booths as well. I would've gotten an autograph, but not for $20 for one.

p.s. Finally picked up the Keonig Monster at Treasure Island for $140. Only place I saw it and didn't want to hassle buying it online.
