mechatek
I'm planning to go tomorrow to F&S (haven't been, over a month) , and I would like to know if any of the MW regulars saw the 1/48 Max 1J. Which dealers had it, and how much? I hope they're some left for me to choose from.
baronv
Trasure Island has the new 1/48 TV Max when I was there 2 Wednesdays ago. I picked up from them the YF-1R MPC from them for $45. I'm planning on going to F&S to get a Q-Rau tomorrow.
Eternal_D
yah, treasure island has them. $185 for max, and $120 for q-rau i think... if you're going to get a q-rau, PM Soze, he's got them.
BoBe-Patt
If you guys are planning on buying anything from treasure island, I suggest you get there hella early cuz they leave hella early. They need to stay open until 4 at least!!! But yeah, the earlier the better.

chowyunskinny
Treasure Island sold me B stock Max and Millia for $180 each. Also picked up a Collection #13 Targetmaster Hot Rod from them for $32. Got to F&S at 10am and Little Anime shop still wasn't open when we left at 11:30. Yoshi was absent also today. His wife and daughter were there so he must be in Japan right now. Eternal_D
ack...Soze needs to post all his extra stuff here for for us So Cal ppl. Chow coulda saved some more on the max and millia if you had bought from him. went today around 3:45 with my cousin(he's from north ridge area so doesn't make it down too often). He bought an airsoft gun, his first, and is playing with it right now. I walked by little anime shop and yoshi's place around that time, both were closed...needless to say TISINC was closed already. didn't look around much as we needed to head to fry's. man, I gotta stop going there, everytime I go, I say I'm not going to buy anything, but I always do. no more F&S's for 2 weeks! Chow coulda saved some more on the max and millia if you had bought from him. Hmmm....Good lookin out Eternal D. Well I still need to buy my doubles of: VF-1A Hikaru Reissue VF-1S Focker Reissue VF-1J Hikaru Super VF-1J Hikaru Queadluun Rau Super VF-1J Max Super VF-1J Millia So if Soze has these has these available in Minty boxes, then I'll throw some business his way. I usually get my first ones from Treasure Island because they seem to get them first and their boxes are less than mint, but that's OK for the ones I'm gonna open. I double up on releases for the MIB. I hear ya though, I used to go to F&S every Wednesday when I worked in L.A. but I'm down to about every 2 weeks now. Anyone talk to him since then?

I've got minty Q-Rau's I can't say I have anymore minty Max VF-1J's or Millia VF-1J's though... they went to Eternal_D and a few others already I still have 2 max's left as well as some Millia's in good but not mint boxes. Just have dents on some of the corners, although they are not huge sized dents.

That is easily the crappiest thing I've heard from them in quite some time. The funniest thing is - I'm sure they were busy "coming up with new and inventive designs for their crapass MPC line" by buying the stuff in the first place. Only Toynami would steal ideas and then turn around and shoot the messenger like that all in one setting. Just when you think the BS is done with... BoBe-Patt
I think we should retaliate by burning a pile of MPC's in front of both toynami and harmony gold's offices and a sign that reads "Yamato rules!!" Or "Yamato fo life!!"

Anyone talk to him since then? Alex need not despair. Technically, you don't need a lawyer to challenge them. Just tell Alex to write a polite letter back to whomever it was (HG or Toynami) who sent the C&D in the first place and request conclusive and specific evidence that he is selling a product that infringes on their rights. UnF*ckinBelievable Maybe that Alex guy is just out of stock and is trying to blow smoke up your ass. I was there that day and over-heard that conversation and afterwards I asked him when he's getting more Yamato valks in and he said in about a month. So if he got a letter telling him to C&D then why would he be getting more valks to sell? I've come to find out that a lot of dealers at Frank and Sons are full of piss & wind. Maybe he got one and maybe he didn't, I just wouldn't call it a fact unless I actually saw the letter. EXO
if he got it, that doesn't mean he has to listen to it... The vendor community is pretty tight, especially at F&S. When you see one fold, you'll see all of them fold. That would mean something is up.

Hurin
Hi guys. Never been to F&S. But I'm going to be in LA on Saturday and I need the following: All 1/48 scale Hikaru 1A (re-issue) Hikaru 1S Roy 1S (re-issue) Max 1A Milia 1J Can I be pretty confident that these will be around? If so, will I be able to at least peer through the clear plastic to inspect for QC issues before buying? Oh, and. . . are there other vendors there selling Macross stuff besides TISINC? Cuz the prices on their site seem a bit steep in some areas. Are prices generally lower at F&S? Thanks! Max 1A = Not there will not find anywhere there Milia 1J = $185 (at TISINC) 205 at some other vendor Can I be pretty confident that these will be around? Look above If so, will I be able to at least peer through the clear plastic to inspect for QC issues before buying? Yes are there other vendors there selling Macross stuff besides TISINC? Yes but not very many, they may have one valk or two.... Are prices generally lower at F&S? Yes because no shipping and no tax if you pay with cash.
