you can't set you're watch on them. Sometimes they're there, sometimes not... all I know is they come late and leave early.

Treasure Island has the 1/48 TV Max on hand, I think the dealer told me it was $179. Though one of the boxes he was selling had a hole in it.

The Quedluun-Rau is going for $120 over there, Super Ostrich still $75.

They used to be in the first few series that came out. Then they became small highly detailed statues.

My avatar is a girl that was cosplaying as a DOA beach volleyball girl at AX last year. I cut myself out of the picture but her right hand is on my shoulder.

My thoughts have been turning towards AX for this year. See I even updated my signature.

Ya know, I went to FnS on Saturday to get me a Max. Checked out a couple places along the way to the Treasure Island Sports booth just to see if they had any,and no luck. I work my way to the TIS booth and lo and behold THEY ARE CLOSED!!! Not only that, but they had 2 1/48 Max 1J's teasing me from behind the locked displays.

I don;t know about the rest of you, but I dont drive up from San Diego just to have TIS closed way before the FnS close time. I have bought ALL but 1 of my 1/48's from them because I know they have them in stock and I am a loyal customer because of that. BUT NOT WHEN ITS 3:30 IN THE AFTERNOON AND THEY ARE CLOSED!

Its a rare thing when I actually take the time to go up there on my very short weekends. And there's no way for me to show up on a Wednedays. So if its a Saturday, and its only 3:30pm in the afternoon and FnS doesnt start locking up till 5, I EXPECT THEM TO BE OPEN!

Bad business I tell ya. I will have to rethink about buying from them.

since you're up here already, you might as well drive a little further and go to their store. I heard they moved so I don't know where it is anymore but I'm sure you can give them a call next time you come up and stop by. not wanting to give them more business cuz I don't really like them but hey that's just me.

I went by Yoshi. He didn't have it.

And I hear ya, loud and clear. But the fact remains, that if they want the business, and keep their customers, then they should be open. Hell, they could have easily made 200 bucks off me just by selling me the Max 1J and the new Silverstreak...provided they had SS.

Still not happy about it.

So here's a new question: Anyone know of a shop around the Venice/Santa Monica area that may have it? Forget Puzzle Zoo. I think HG scared them.

Picked up the new set of New Generation I-Men from Yoshi for $30 tonight. Also picked up a few more K&M's I was missing, other then that nothing new.

There store isn't opened right now, they are closed, is what the guy told me last time i was there. They seem to close very early on weekends...many times i go there and they aren't open, it seems like a random thing.

sort of off topic but i was talking to one of my buddies in the chicago area and he said he saw these 3" transformers....optimus, megatron, etc....

does anyone have more info on this? i don't know whos making them or even what they look like, making it next to impossible to know what the heck to look for. he told me they were tiny reproductions of the regular TF's and had diecast content.....anyone?

The transformers are called Transformer Smallest. They are currently on series 2 . Series 1 is already over and the price to get those has gone up considerably for certain figures.

There's a chaser special figure... Ultra Magnus. It's basically a white optimus. That one is really cool as well.

i collected them as a kid but i'm not trying to start a TF collection...it would literally kill me. but for $6, it'll be a substitute for not getting the MPC optimus and megatron is just cool....hes a gun, hes robot, he rocks!
