Murphy
Luckily I travel sometimes for work, and I can explore other cities far, far away. But never as far as Southern California. fixed Dont get me wrong i've been living in SF for the past 5 years and love it, but when it comes to finding macross related in items in the US, LA is the city you want to be in, Ive search for macross merchandise high and low in this city and when you do find a yamato or bandai the prices are so high it makes TISINC looks like a bargin bin. I thought that since SF has a strong asian populan that it would have more anime in general, it does but its all narauto and bleach and other animes that i dont care about. I miss F&S. Jolly Rogers
I lived up north for about a year and it was hard finding anime goods up there. There was a bookstore just down the street from where I stayed in San Jose, but when it comes to stuff like Gundam models they just didn't have the kind of price and selection they got down in the L.A. area. Added the following items at Booth 805 (Anime & More) tonight: Macross 7: Bandai 1/65 VF-17S Special Stealth Valkyrie 2001 Improved Reissue version http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN900137 Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counterattack 1/550 Alpha-Azieru model kit Features detachable booster fuel pods so you can mount the MA on the included display stand. Kit includes a 1/550 Nu Gundam. Articulated landing gears can fold out from their hidden compartments and pose the MA in parked position. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN24490 Mobile Suit Gundam F91: 1/100 RGM-109 Heavy Gundam model kit Federation's GM updated for UC 0123, this unit was piloted by Birgit Pirjo who showed Seabook Arno the ropes of MS combat throughout most of the film. Features fold-out grenade racks on both sides of the hip, and the rifle can be mounted on the rear skirt armor. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN32645 1/100 XM-05 Berga-Giros model kit Crossbone Vanguard commander-use combat MS from the Gundam F91 movie, piloted by Zabine Chareux, leader of the elite Black Vanguard squadron. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN32518 1/100 XM-01 Den'an Zon model kit Crossbone Vanguard melee combat MS http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN32035 Mobile Suit Victory Gundam: 1/144 ZM-S06S Zoloat model kit http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN39598 1/144 RGM-122 Javelin model kit http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN39597 Both kits come with a display stand and a background card that fits on the stand so you can display the completed model in a space battle pose. nanoplasm
Man, I miss Frank and Son's. The nearest Comic or Toy shop to me is 3 hours away, one way. I asked the dude behind the counter if he had any Macross stuff. He never heard of it. I asked if he had any anime or Japanese toys. "Oh, yeah. We have lots of that." He walked me to a tiny corner where there was Hello Kitty and Pokemon. Uh... Lots of Wrestling toys. With lots and lots of dust on them. Luckily I travel sometimes for work, and I can explore other cities far, far away. But never as far as California. Miss Frank and Sons... Dood, old pokemon stuff is worth lots of $$ fixed Dont get me wrong i've been living in SF for the past 5 years and love it, but when it comes to finding macross related in items in the US, LA is the city you want to be in, Ive search for macross merchandise high and low in this city and when you do find a yamato or bandai the prices are so high it makes TISINC looks like a bargin bin. I heard there are some good import shops in Okland area =)
Uxi
Good to have a name to that place; I'd definitely recommend that people avoid it. The prices are not competitive with what you can get online, and it's not like I even need the seller to be nice or anything. But if asking a simple question and expecting a simple answer without any extra attitude isn't possible, especially when a buyer is willing to drop hundreds of dollars at once, then that's just counterproductive and bad business sense. Yeah, Treasure Island. A few years ago, they used to be nicer. I remember getting a 1/48 Hikaru VF-1S with crimpled box for a pretty good deal around $130'ish. But they're definitely on the way overpriced these days and selection is usually far behind. My last few purchases have all been AmiAmi, except for my unassembled VF-1S which were HLJ's sale price. BoBe-Patt
Believe it or not tisinc use to just sell all cards like yugioh, pokemon, and other game cards. Then they started putting up yamato macross toys and then slowly expanded to nothing but models and toys.

nanoplasm
Anyone know if the konig DX is at F and S and for how much? They are at Vince's booth. Normal is mid $200, SP is approaching $300. Don't quote me on the price, since I didn't pay much attention. The VF-27b is still at AnimeRaro. Also he has the whole set of Macross F 1kuji for sale. Plus some T-shirts, books/manga, and what not. Edited December 4, 2010 by nanoplasm
Murphy
Anything new at F&S?, Any new dealers? Macross items? ect...haven't been here in about a year.
ae_productions
Is it me or is the VB-6 going up a bit? Maybe stock is starting to run low. Or, maybe the on-line price is cheaper than F & S. Which is probably the case. Still, if you don't want to wait to get it in the mail, maybe it's worth paying a little more at F and S. VB-6 regular is like $230, but one of the brother @ animeraro got that mixed up with 1/3000 SDF-1 and was quoting people $320. Anything new at F&S?, Any new dealers? Macross items? ect...haven't been here in about a year. There is a new transformer guy on isle 400 or 500. He's got a decent collection of Macross stuff. Otherwise there are random items that pops up at vincent's and animeraro.

Murphy
How is F&S doing in terms of macross products? i haven't been there probably for 2 years, since i now buy the majority of my stuff online since i can get it cheaper or around the same price. Is any one selling the VF-19Kai lower than 250? i might take a trip down soon for kicks.
Kicker773
Going down there this Wed., finally since everytime I go to LA they are closed. Any good deals or items worth looking at?
EXO
dude! you're in town? Seems like Tisinc is the only place that reliably has Macross stuff. Otherwise its just hunting and gathering. Have fun! I hope you're close to there, otherwise traffic is a bitch. You can get there early to avoid traffic but most stores are not open that early. Uxi
There was one guy in the middle who had a VF-19S for $300, which is a pretty fair rate (about what you'll get on evilbay after shipping).
