Scored the Soul of Spec XS-09 blue Eva for 55 bucks. Picked up the Starscream and Hot Rod Revoltechs for 18 each. Also grabbed the Snake Eyes in Parka for 10 and the Joe Senior Officers for 15. Decent haul, but it was hot as hell in there. For some random reason, Mickey Dolenz from the Monkees was there today but no one cared. Transformers Animated deluxe and voyager figures seem to be out in force. Deluxes were running from 13-15 bucks depending on the booth. I got in just after 8pm and walked the isles to check it out. Glad to hear that more shops will be open this weekend. My corporate office is in Brea, so it's only a hop and a jump away. I'm bringing some buddies with me on Saturday to spend some dough, hopefully I don't spend my SDCC money! I should have listened to you guys sooner! Fatalist Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I went yesterday (16th) and couldnt find any 1/60's anywhere. Not Yoshi or TISINC. I did finally pick up a YF-21 and a 1/48 Millia. Nobody else had YF-21's either. The guy manning the TISINC booth did say something about getting more of the 1/60's in on Monday, for what thats worth. A few of the big shops were closed though, maybe they'll be open next time I go. Thanks, I now know which shops have the good selections and are good to work with, like Yoshi's, TI (is that the same as TISINC?), what is "HLJ" though? And where is "Vince"? Also, one more question, is there any place there that's good to check out to get old 1/55 valks, esp. the older rarer ones like super ostrich, elintseeker, strikes etc.? I didn't see any in my browsing but then again it's easy to miss stuff there, there's just so much! Thanks Nightmare for the info. I am still debating between HLJ and F&S prices. Especially HLJ sale on certain Macross items. Just basically it is coming down to the cost of shipping. F&S still only accept cash? Its been awhile since I went there. But surprisingly there's a guy at the very last isle to your right if your were to walk into the main entrance by the food area. He has a bunch of old cyclones, alpha's, 1/55's. But his asking prices are astronomical, so prepare to either just look at his toys and laugh at the prices, or actually shell out the amount he wants.
