Against all odds, my blue Masterpiece Alpha had never suffered any kind of damage or defect... until now. One of the stupid rubbery hands (right) broke right at the joint which holds the trigger finger and other fingers on. Suffice it to say, I am NOT happy about this, but I guess I should be since I have been so lucky for so long. I should have left this thing in its box, but noooooooo. Just HAD to go and put it in one of my display cases with the blue Beta and Masterpiece Cyclone. I had tried doing some research on whether or not anybody historically had ever come up with a good solution, and all I could find was this: http://robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/18642 It's too bad this didn't turn out to be a good solution, as these hands are cheap and available. Does anyone have a broken Alpha from which they'd be willing to cannibalize the hands? Or perhaps someone out there did do a recast, and I just need to be made aware of it? I have searched Shapeways and haven't seen anything which is a perfect match. Also, while I'm on the same train of thought, what about replacement hands for the Masterpiece Cyclone? I don't know how, but it looks like my right "trigger finger" hand has lost its trigger finger... Hey, at least the whole hand isn't broken. This one should be slightly easier to replace, as I might even be able to come up with something on my own. Any ideas, suggestions, or just plain mercy? Thanks I received a set of these hands a few years ago, they are not exactly like the Alpha hands but they are sturdy and hold the gun very well!
