Display Stands for 1/60 VFs?

I'm aware Yamato made some specialized display stands for their VFs but these appear to be long sold out. Just ordered Arcadia's YF-19 and am curious if any particular display stand would well with these things. Preferably a stand that would work in all three modes (the product notes for the 19 indicate that it comes with a stand adapter, assumedly for the old Yamato stands)

the new arcadia vf-1s releases both came with a stand...one of the reasons i bought them. other than that, perhaps you can track down a yamato mightyblock (though i don't recommend them). or the bandai hobby action base stands and buy adapaters from shapeways (exo deisgned them, i think you can find them if you do a forum search) that being said i'm not sure either of the last two options (mightyblock or bndai action base) will be sturdy enough to hold a yf-19. there are alwasy flightpose stands as well.

You could take a look at Flightpose's display stands which many members of the community are using.

I think there have been some complains about paint stripping issues though.

The paint stripping issue has been discussed to death on another thread in this forum. My summarized take is:

There are some batches that strip paint and some that do not. Some people have had issues, some have not. Buyer beware.

The paint stripping is really only an issue for valks that have painted die-cast, as opposed to ones with plastic molded in the color (e.g., Yamato VF-1) on the obvious spots where you would place the rods.

The Flightpose stands are the most cost-effective and readily available options out there, not to mention the most flexible. You can display valks in all three modes using the FP stands -- not sure that's the case with any other stand except for the Arcadia stand. So I think it's worth it to at least buy one and check it out to see if you have any problems with it.

I've been using flightpose stands for about a year now. So far no issues with it taking off paint. If you're looking for some flightpose stands I have a set of two 4" stands that I'm selling for $24 shipped in US. paypal gifted.sold to VF1

here are some pics of my setup using flight pose stands.

Beautiful job! So you already have the Yamarcadia and Bandai versions!

Yes. I suppose my definition of "may take awhile" is a little different.

Superb! Only one thing missing on the adjustable arm... a joint that allows for positioning your subject in a banking orientation.

Absent on purpose. I may come up with something, but only if I can print it well.

Layers would have to print parallel to the axis of motion. This would have the potential to fail over time.

Give us two products:

1) Only arm pieces for Bandai stands

2) Complete sets with kite base for Yamato/Arcadia ones!!! :D

You want a jointed arm that fits on the Bandai SMS base?

Any chance you could do a fixed height arm that has adjustment for forward/backward as well as side-to-side tilt? I'd like a fighter mode stand with lots of options for climbing, diving and banking angles.

Someone else had asked about banking. I could confidently do either or, but not both tilting and banking in one piece. I would have low confidence in a piece like that holding up. I should have something more on that tonight.
