That is such a cool diorama. What scale are the figures?

That's no diorama...  It's a computer!  :p

The figures are from Cm's Patlabor collection figure

Yeah, but that doesn't exactly answer his question...

They're about 1:48 scale, by my reckoning.  You see they're equal in size to Yamato's 1:48 scale VF-1 pilots (painted, left), only slightly smaller than generic 1:48 model diorama figures (center, white), and a little shorter than Plastic Cretin's 1:48 Mospeada soldiers (right, grey).  Given average Asian stature, the realistic Japanese setting, and the typical proportions of Takada Akemi's character designs, "a little shorter than average" seems just about right.  ^_^

Not a pose but I got bored at work and messed around with the product photoVF-1S-Desert.thumb.jpg.6c072da801bb267fa07dd43a830e1e68.jpg

Nice!

This somehow reminds me of the attack phase animation in the Super Robot Wars games - I'm fairly sure that the VF-1 had appeared in a couple of times in the past.  All it's missing is the HPs on top of the screen, and the pilot icon and speech lines at the bottom...

Looks a bit different than I remember from the series but apparently Bandai made a Metal Build GN Archer.

This toy isn't as articulated as this picture makes it look.  It's actually quite limited in range, and this is about as extreme as I can make it pose.  The ol' Gypsy Danger makes it look flipping sweet though!

Folks, this is for Macross toys and nothing else.

Thanks all.

My apologies for posting something non-Macross related. :sorry:

I don't mean to be argumentative, but I would have assumed that the "overtechnology think tank" was the obvious label that specified Macross (looking back now, I saw @no3Ljm's post and... :crazy:duh), but it seemed like a general toy thread much like the "most recent Macross or toy purchase" thread which would be in constant violation of that rule.

My bad.  This is a Macross Forum, so I will keep it on track from now on. :p

It's great when we can a have a conversation that is related to Macross and let it evolve a bit before some people kindly remind people to keep it on topic and then we carry on. It keeps the conversation moving and allows relevant topics to be discussed when needed without having to take things to pm or other threads. And then we carry on...

Speaking of which...
