vladykins
The Udvar-Hazy extension to the Air & Space Museum has one you can walk right up to (along with a ton of other awesome planes, including the Enola Gay, the shuttle Discovery, and I think the only Dornier 335 still in existence. We spent a lot of time there when the kids were little, especially on rainy days because it is essentially huge hangers stuffed with planes and, more importantly, outside of parking it is free. And when I said you could run right up to it, my kids when they were little did: If you come to the DC area, it is definitely a must see. You can see the A&S Museum downtown and then take the free shuttle to Udvar-Hazy if you want the trip totally free. It's nice to have something to put the little valkyries on. You can find similar aircraft carrier toys on Amazon and discount stores, but the working elevator sets this one apart from the rest, IMO. And, it seem to be the cheapest priced, although not as big as some of the others. Ooooh very cool. Thanks for the info guys! I'm really digging the idea of it. Keeping my eye out for the Calibre one as that might work well with the KC 1/72 Valks.

I think it could work well for HMR to Arcadia VF-1s and everything in between.

You might remember these if you dig deep in your subconscious and trigger some more 80’s nostalgia. I was thinking I would just get one to check out and open but I’m about to order a few more, lol! Magnets on feet was one of the factors that pushed me over.

Magnets on feet was one of the factors that pushed me over. I'm getting something. But it's really tenuous. I can't put my finger on it. Have you watched the He Man documentary on Netflix? I was never into He Man as a kid, but the doc is great! Good enough that I'm contemplating getting a He Man and Skelator! I just found out Devilman is on Netflix. I'm going to give that a try. I need to re-watch DYRL first though. I'm putting a DYRL Skull Squadron shelf together and I'm starting to realize how much I missed when I watched it before. Details, details. I'm going as cannon as is reasonable. I think I'll be at about 95% (made up number). The only thing I'm leaving out is the atmo configurations because one, I don't have the room on one shelf, and two, I'm not exactly looking for more naked Valks. Oh yeah, it will have a DYRL VF-1A Mass Production too. Not Skull Squad, but DYRL. If I do a Vermilion Squadron shelf I'll have my fill of naked Valks. Yeah, you’d have to see the show and the toy ads to remember if you ever knew of it. I haven’t watched that doc yet but was thinking about it. I didn’t think I’d get in on the Origins line but I did anyways. Originally thought the Mega Construx line would be enough since they are smaller, cheaper and I could get them all without breaking a sweat on my wallet or space. The Devilman series on Netflix is not the same as the old stuff you might remember but it is the same character. Much more graphic in every way you can imagine. As for DYRL, can’t get enough of that...I’m constantly watching and rewatching different Macross throughout most my life.
