Hey Derex. Just a heads up that most items for PO at Amazon JP doesn't ship internationally. But once it's available after it gets released, some third party sellers offers international shipping.

hmmm, thats not my experience but I haven't gotten any macross stuff from amazon jp yet.  MP transformers....Amazon jp (first party) the best route for sure.  i always forget to check them for macross stuff though.

looks great on that front angle

I had to be clever with the angle.  From the side he's standing too tall and awkward.  And I had to place the hand over his shin/ankle to hide the fact I had to rotate the split at the shin to get him to lunge that far forward.  But it looks effing awkward from any other angle, he just can't get as deep of a front stance as I'd like.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ Details like these make collections truly great. When you can have a sense on scale with same scale "real world" vehicles, and figures. I wish Macross would do things like this. I think it makes any collection better.

WOW! Those new Tie's are pretty darn cool! Wish I had room for like two! I had the old school white one and the old X-wing/Y-wing/Slave 1/Falcon and Snowspeeder back in the 80's. Gave them all to Goodwill years and years ago. Kept all my figures though! Have them displayed now

Ok, I definitely will have to track down one of those TIEs.  That's gorgeous.  Ditto on an Interceptor, if they do it.  I'm out of the loop on SW merch though, where are those available?

Given how many of the large scale FX-scale X-Wings I have, I should really go for several, but I've got too much stuff already.  What I really do wish they would do is give the Y-Wing a proper treatment though.  They managed to get fairly proportional versions of all the other fighters, but the Y-Wing toys always looked rather chibi-fied, and mis-scaled for the figures.

So, the big deal, as I recall, with the Fumina figure was the multi-color injection tech used to give different shades to the skin.

How good does it look in person?

Yep! The process is really cool and the figure looks great overall. It's hard to say how much difference the multi color injection makes without seeing the same thing without multi color next to it but the arms are not multi color injected and I think the body and legs do have some more realistic tone and depth to them. Only problem to me is I don't get why they chose to put some of the multi color sprue connections on exposed parts of the skin where you can see the two colors. The sprue marks were a pain and many of them were unremoveable to me. The mold seam lines on the other hand were very easy to blend out. The new process intrigued me, which is the main reason I got this kit and looking at it on my shelf right now, it looks fantastic! I also wanted some practice with kits before I put the little canon parts on my PF SDF-1 and build a bunch of Star Wars kits I've had sitting around for years.

Cool, I hope they keep using and improving the tech. I'd be totally in for a multi-color injected Macross valkyrie kit that didn't need massive sticker/decal sheets. Probably won't work due to bonding between the two plastic colors, but I can dream.

Yeah, the places where different color parts go together work really well. The only part I think the multi color will kick in for Valks is small multi color detail areas. The eyes for the Fumina figure are the best example of what they can accomplish with the tech. Zero paint required for the figure (unless I want to try to blend some sprue marks a bit better but I'm not going to.).

The Vintage Collection releases are usually retailer exclusives -- Target, Amazon, TRU or Walmart.  The new TIE is a Walmart exclusive.

Crap... Looking at the pic that @tekeringhas posted, I wonder if the TIE Interceptor will possibly get reissued? They did so many versions of it during the years, why not an updated version? :unknw:

You guys really are out of the loop.

Amazon exclusive, 2013.  Also features the new cockpit module.

That ship may have already sailed, I fear.

TRU exclusive, 2011... and apart from a retooled cockpit and a new paint job, it's still the same old '80s crap.

Having given up hope on an accurately-proportioned Hasbro Y-Wing, I've decided to make my own:

The studio-scale Galactic Resin model kit is the perfect scale for 3.75" figures.  ^_^

Of course, as a limited-run garage kit, it's gonna cost you several hundred dollars... if you can find one.

Or there's always the Master Replicas Y-Wing, but that one runs several thousand dollars... if you can find one!

Yeah!  Rock that 19 Gerwalk!  Just watch out for the ankles, Arcadia just can't get that right.

True. They tend to get loose. But there's a fix for that from me and anime52k8. Be warned though. Fix it at your own risk. ^_^

That's decent news then, I might actually be able to get that TIE locally.  I might have to track down an Interceptor, they seem to still be available on Amazon actually, for not too ridiculously high a price.

I do remember seeing that Y-wing when you first posted pics of it, looks really good.  I've found a few detailed photos of the Y-wing assembly, in terms of base shape and greeblies, so I'm actually beginning to wonder whether it would be cheaper to scratchbuild and 3D print my own kit than find a resin one.

I don't think there's any question of that... especially if you have your own 3D printer.

Hey Lolicon. 'Grats on your purchases. :good:

Let me know what you think of the Aile Strike. Mine is still in PW waiting for another item towards the end of August before I have it shipped so I might get it early next month. Thanks! :drinks:

I got mine from CD Japan when they opened a second round of preorders.

Sure thing, noel. I have a bunch of MBs that I haven't opened, but I'll open the Aile Strike next just for you!
