Had this on preorder for almost a year. My 2nd ever 1/6 Hot Toys figure. Head and face sculpt is incredible...pics don't do it justice. Swishy lightsaber is a new feature with the new figures from Hot Toys.. I kinda like it! Can't wait to get him setup next to my Vader.

Looks nice. Jabba's Palace has always been my favorite look for Luke followed closely by the final duel and Endor.

I wish they would have started the swishy saber with Anakin. I want to have a display with Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting.

Newest add: Hobby Master’s Mitsubishi F-2 Super Kai (HA2708). So far HM’s only “what if” model, since the Kai was only ever a proposal to the JASDF and was only made in an air-show model form. Japanese distributors asked for the model to be made and it sold out quick. I’ve only ever seen a few on eBay for some $300 US or so, got this BNIB for far less! Verily, I am pleased!

That’s a cool plane.

On the top side middle part of the fuselage, I wonder if that’s where the arms folds in?

Had it since last year but finally actually got to take the Comicave studios Optimus off the shelf and mess with it. Huge, Diecast goodness it is.

Damn, that thing looks nice and expensive (quality). Your pic is fantastic as usual.

You want a Anakin to recreate the saber battle with Obi-wan from Episode 3? Then this might be your lucky day..

The problem with that figure is that it is an SDCC exclusive. It can only be picked up at SDCC and must be picked up by the person that placed the order (ID verification) so you can't have a friend pick it up for you unless they also created an account at Sideshow and purchased it for you. On top of that there is a limit of 1 per person so you can't have one person buy a batch to pick up for a group of people.

Now it is likely that Sideshow will have extras after SDCC that they will sell normally but no guarantees.

The Mitsubishi F-2 is a Japanese fighter based on the F-16 but larger. Think of it as the "Super Hornet" to the F-16's original "Hornet."

Thanks for the info, makes sense! The fuselage has a very different shape and the sides resemble the F-5 a bit, which is why I mentioned that.

I had the same thought a while back, and wondered if you could actually use those conformal packs to hide the arms on a masterpiece-styled G1 Dreadwind. :)

The F-2 is a nice mod to the general F-16 shape, looks really good!

Funny thing about the F-5 though.. the YF-17 was an evolution of the F-5, before it turned into the F-18.

That's interesting info if true but it makes sense. I'm just wondering why the F-20 ever went into development if it is the case though.

Thanks. And since this one is without a box, I'll fly this one around instead of my Arcadia one. ;)

I'm just using the regular version since Anakin didn't have the red eyes in the duel. Not to mention that my shelf isn't tall enough to allow for the nifty stand.

Luckily Rey has the swooshy blue saber so I'll probably try to pick up one that's been parted out once the prices come down.

Isn't the F-16 referred to as the "Falcon"?

What @Slave IV said. The F-16's name is the Fighting Falcon, but going from the F-16 to the F-2 is like going from the regular Hornet (F/A-18A through D) to the Super Hornet (E, F), where the new aircraft gets a serious size-up and resembles the original in basic shape only.

The F-16’s unofficial name is the Viper, from the old Battlestar Galactica TV show. Because of that, and because the first production F-2A entered squadron service in 2000, the F-2 got the nickname Viper Zero.

The F-20 got made because Northrop had the idea that other countries who operated F-5s might like to have an upgraded, updated model that was still familiar in terms of maintenance and some of the spare parts needed. When tested the F-20 turned out to be a hell of a hot ship. Unfortunately the US put the kibosh on some technology being exported out of the country, and that included the F-20. Northrop shopped it around to the USAF and USN, but no dice.

Nice! Does the GBP have the 1 printed on the chest plate, or is it a sticker like the Arcadia release?

June’s haul.

Iron Man’s left bicep swivel was too tight, and it ended up twisting the peg off. Good news is that since the break is so far inside the bicep/shoulder assembly, there’s still enough friction to hold the arm on. I’ll just need to be extra gentle with that arm.
