Wow. Mega haul! Did you use your spleen or a lung to pay for the VF-4. Very very nice. Me want.

Gorgeous. Haven't seen these anywhere.

Ha! Thank you very much, purchased with the proceeds from the piggy bank I started at age 6. B))

Love the VF-1J CF, sreichma. Looks great.

Agree, the VF-1J Cannon Fodder was one of Yamato's best VF-1 releases in my opinion. I wish I'd picked up more than (1) when it came out.

I paid about 40 above what the new retail will be if they re-issue it., and then normal EMS shipping + 10 bucks.

I don't think that's astronomical.

Considering Arcadia asks $150ish for a valk now, and super parts trend around $110 dollars or more, and if they throw in extras... it could be $260-300 easy for a reissue + shipping.

Plus, they might leave out something Yamato added to save or cut costs like they did with the Focker and Hik releases.

I overpaid a bit but it's worth it in my mind as it could be another 6 months before we even get M&M's from Arcadia.

Anything in the 400+ range would be a bit crazy imo.

Been thinking about this, and I swear I'm not trying to throw any shade on your purchase - I think it was a good buy.

That said I don't think an Arcadia Max and/or Miria VF-1J with Super Parts will be that much (heck, the originals retailed for 12,800 JPY). I think (read hope) at the most they will be around 22,000 JPY.

Arcadia retail for the the VF-1S's: 16,800 JPY (Yamato was 9,800 JPY) - the difference in cost being attributed to the stand and option parts (craziness)

Yamato retail for the TV Super Parts: 3,800 JPY

Yamato retail for the Stand: 3,900 JPY

At any rate, again a good buy Gakken. I hope that if/when Arcadia re-releases any bundled fast pack versions they don't go crazy pricing them.

Yeah the flaw in your logic is that that's prices from 2008 before the economy took a crap.

http://www.hlj.com/product/ymt00080/Sci

Back then Yamato was asking $90 for a VF-1 and $40 for Supers.

Since then there has been the global collapse, yamato went out of business more or less, and inflation. Going on Valk prices it's almost 60% increase based off what Arcadia is asking for the yf-19 ect.

I think they will be at least $80 bucks on the low end.

They seem to like throwing in extras too and asking more + smaller runs which could jack up the price too. I'm comfortable in thinking they will be at least $250-260 and stand alone supers being $80-100. Maybe with a discount closer to $240 for the bird.

They aren't going to ask less than what supers are selling for on the secondary market which is around $110, depending. It's still a considerable amount of plastic.

Bandai charges $70ish for their supers and they tend to flux up and down depending on demand and parts.

All this is before shipping mind, so that's at least $35-40 bucks for a double box.

But hey! I hope you're right. I'd like to get a max and maybe another milia :D so the cheaper the betta.

How are those display cases?

There really nice display cases worth every penny at $70. Of course you could get a Detlof for $50 but I wanted something for my desk at work. Each display case has 8 LEDs and they can be powered by either battery or USB. The lights can be controlled on the front bezel by way of a touch surface and it has a mirrored back panel which you can flip to a plain white background.

Which ones do you recommend for Valks and where did you get it? Found some for $90 which is abit much.

I got these from Sideshow Collectibles. I would stick to the display cases that fit 1/6 scale figures. I was able to fit two 1/60 valks; a VF-19A and a YF-19 both in battroid mode. I'm experimenting and combining identical height display cases and omitting the clear plexi panels that if it were placed adjacent would give me a wider case.
