Robot Damashii God Gundam option set came in today!  I've had the figure since it originally released, but didn't want to deal with the trouble of P-Bandai when the accessories were first offered.  I eventually forgot about it until last week, when I found it cheap on a random eBay search.

$40 for a P-Bandai item two years after release at 3780yen, yes please!

..What other cars you have?

I've been collecting 1/18 die cast cars for some 15 years, so answering that question would require an inventoried list 40 items deep.  They range from a couple of inexpensive Maistos and Bburagos when I first started, to the most exorbitant CMC I just acquired; however, as I've become more demanding and sophisticated, the bulk of my collection has increasingly come to consist of AUTOarts.

One of these days I should take the time to take pictures, catalog the loot, and post them here... a scary prospect as it will make me come to terms with just how much moolah I've dropped on these thing over the years.

^ GT Spirits are resin cast, not die cast; they are mostly static and of a closed shell design:  no opening doors, hood/bonnet, trunk/boot, and no turning wheels (they do spin), and no engines.  Go to their web site for more info.  There are a few UT branded ones on eBay that are the more traditional die cast fare available right now.

Hope that helps.

Hay spanner or anyone else...Any input/advice about the 1:18 GT Spirit 993 911 Turbos? Those are the only ones I can find for the 993 911 Turbo and I don't know anything about GT Spirit. Thanks!

Ditto what mechaninac said. Those GT Spirit look ok but I have never owned one as I dont buy solids models. They can also be expensive which sucks considering they have no opening parts. Yes you could pick up a UT models 993 turbo and they are ok. I had a couple in my former collection and they aren't too bad. But also not great. I think UT became Autoart if I remember correctly.. Autoart have a 993 which is a smidgen better but not a turbo and its not the best thing either.

Stop talking about those cars. I was browsing a store earlier today thanks to you two. Now I' m seriously thinking about buying a Nissan GT-R Super GT car... I need to be saving for the new Valkyries and not cars. :p

so.... what if we just post pics of model cars rather than talking about them? Does that help!? LOL!

Maybe later this year. It would give my loved once a gift idea they can relate to. ^_^

But if it's happening it's thanks to you. :p

[edit:] what is really appealing to me is that the cars make a nice compact and clean looking display area cause they are all so similar in size. I'm envious and I need a bigger house.

Yes they do make a nice clean display don't they! When I had about 200 cars previously I had them all set up all over the place on book shelves and other pieces of furniture as I didn't have any display cabinets. This is my new display setup which I recently added three more glass shelves to make more space. I will also be getting six half depth shelves made so I can display 3 cars sideways above each existing shelf. Should look ok and make more room again as I have more cars coming and others on my wish list!

That Italian Flagged Miura looks awesome!

200 pieces?... I thought I had "issues" with 40... I'm not worthy.:hail:

hehe! yeah but I had a lot of the cheaper stuff too like Bburago, Maisto etc.. but with my current collection I am avoiding those cheaper stuff and focusing on the more premium brands. I have 42 on display now and another on its way making 43!

RE:EDIT IRON MAN #08 Shape Changing Armor

Ended up picking this up , it's a updated look to their RE:EDIT IRON MAN #01 Bleeding Edge Armor

It's even base around the same frame so hardly any diecast, but I do like the more sharper edge look.

still need to hunt down the new Century Armor for a good price.

Wait, that Iron Man's released already? I thought it was delayed to March?

it still is, most of the website still shows it on preorder with ETA for March.

I saw it for sale on ebay last week at $150 , the seller probably got it from hong kong directly .

he still have another for sale but it's at $169 now.

I couldn't resist the temptation and pulled the trigger on one of these beauties! 1:18 AUTOart McLaren MP4-12c in the orange. Had wanted one for a while but thought they were a bit expensive.. Yeah probably was a bit more than I would normally be happy to pay but they are quite a beautiful thing so what the heck eh! Besides its only money and you only live once..

I have the exact same one... you'll not regret it.

Do you also have an example of their F1s?  I've got one in Platinum Silver and the detail on it is jaw-dropping.58b368ec6e207_F1Platinum.png.48a13b734e5285ae96c2f3051e6902e6.png

Im actually very pleased I finally bit the (rather expensive) bullet and bought one! I much prefer the 12c over the current 500, 600 series cars.

Yes I do have a McLaren F1! in black! It should be visible in the photo I posted.. When I bought it, it was listed as new never used but when it arrived I found it had dust on it and an exhaust tip was missing so I fashioned my own from a rivet, painted it to match and glued it on. The seller still gave me a 25% refund so I was pretty chuffed in the end. I was originally after a white or the silver but the black came up at a price I couldn't resist so I got that one instead. My cousin has a white one and its majestic!

Sweet! I need one of those. Only wish it actually changed shape like in the comics.

Thanks for the insight on those GT Spirits, Mechanic and spanner! I'll just pass on them all for now, oh well.

Nice Mclarens too! I just saw a P1 in person over the weekend, very nice. F1 is definitely my favorite all time Mclaren though.

Congrats on the 19F! they are a very special bit of kit! :good: And my next fav after the 19P I might add! 8)

Yea after getting the 19P i realized i should get the F as it was the only one I was missing. Given the current state of Macross toys (Arcadia only playing it safe, Bandai busy with HMR & DX Mac Delta) It might be a while before we see toys like the 19F and P in 1/60 scale if ever. That being said the colors of the 19F are much much better in person, I do like the head sculpt better on the S, but the white stripes on blue are just beautiful and they won me over

True. I agree. White stripe on blue is better than yellow. ;)

whilst searching for something else I stumbled across this at a price I couldn't refuse! yeah its second hand but still in perfect condition apparently.

Autoart Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo. Ultimately I'd have probably preferred the orange but the yellow still looks pretty bloody good!

photos are for illustration purposes only and do not belong to me.. mine is yet to arrive of course.

Gorgeous!  And so the stable grows...:good:

To this day I have never purchased any yellow vehicles... that has to be remedied some day.  The Gallardo in my collection, a regular LP560-4... AUTOart of course, is Monterey Blue.
