If you start on the Hasegawa, you're going to see just how inferior the Bandai kits are to them, and not want to build it. Start low, and work your way up. Definitely going to leave this one in fighter mode as it appears to lock together better in that mode than my first example. I did have a small discount code I used for this one which wasn't much but it helped trim down postage costs a bit. And besides im way to impatient to have waited for any sale days.. I do have 2x Zero-S & Reactive Armors on the horizon and car and bike rego's again.. so I might go easy for a bit. Not to mention my VF-11C which is due to arrive any day now of which I have no idea where im going to display the damn thing! LOL! gahh and the VF-2SS! maybe.. (1) I hope so! well I am trying to build up a nice collection but I want it to have some quality rather than sheer quantity. I always told myself that I didn't really want doubles of anything but sometimes it proves too difficult to resist.. (2) hehehe! Nope! it was pretty expensive! I should have bought one long ago when they were a fair bit cheaper but my reluctance has now cost me a few pretty pennies.. (3) I am hoping that the production version of the VF-2SS is substantially improved over the pics we have already seen.. if not them im definitely going to be cancelling my order. I didn't want the giant polystone base, and I wasn't super impressed by the Mutant leader to pay for the whole set. This is my favorite incarnation of Batman from the Dark Knight, and I had an image of this version on a shirt when I was a kid. Really hefty and quality figure. So is it worth the stupid expensive price I paid? Well I definitely think so! I have to say the pilot figure is pretty terrible.. I might swap it out for a VF-1 pilot instead! This completes my M7 collection! I have decided I won't be getting any VF-17.. as much as I try they just don't "do it for me" here are some photos! She looks so elegant in white! its amazing how just a color change can make the VF-11 look so much more dynamic! It's a flying tank and battroid is so fun to pose. sometimes I think I want to but then I struggle with the idea of spending that much money on a Valk im not particularly keen on.. I bought that VF-17S from Jungle which was kinda cheap ("B" rated) so fingers crossed it ain't all floppy or worn out.. I did some research on them, looked at heaps of photos, watched Jenius review & transformation guides and it does look like these things do have a lot of potential. So if this one works out ok and sparks up a little more interest for me then I'll buy the two VF-17F to complete Diamond force.. photo is courtesy of Hobby Search.. The S were always cheaper which made making Emerald Force a more expensive exercise. Oh yeah from purchase to payment to shipping notice for the VF-17S in under 15 minutes!!! that's gotta be a new record! Way to go jungle! Although I know the tracking info wont show up till tomorrow but still that's pretty bloody impressive!
