Arcadia YF-19 coming in 2014

Ordered.

I wonder what they consider b grade, because the box they sent me was pretty busted up. It had indentions like it was hit with a meat tenderizer, and every side was creased or bent. Good thing the figure was still intact. It makes no sense, they'll pack a $30 revoltech with shrink wrap and padding, but a $300 dollar figure gets packed like crap.

Ordered too! funny how we bought the 11B at the same time too before.

Gone...before I could even entertain the thought of picking it up.

It was in my cart the for last 1 hour (guess they have 2 B-grades)...contemplating whether its a yay or a nay since Im picking one up tomorrow.

But decided to proceed anyways. The 2 will replace my lost love(s) that were sold (sold 1, another still up for takers)

Just curious, but do those missile compartments in the legs actually deploy in fighter mode in the Arcadia toy?

Sorta kinda. You can have them opened in fighter mode, most of the way. But you have to pop the wings out, open the compartment, then tab the wings back in. Or do lots of finagling and do it very slowly while working the hinges out of the way of the wings, while holding the wings in place.

It SHOULD just open and close freely in fighter mode, but I think they messed up the exact mechanics/angles, so you can't really. Everthing is just a little off, like 1 or 2mm.

it opens without moving the wings on mine. Pull out at the bottom, angle out and down. no troubles. Its not square like int he anime, but then thats anime magic anyway

This is Animation Special

Well, congrats on your (re)purchase! Arcadia should be doing a reissue on these in the foreseeable future, and hopefully I'll be able to grab one at an equally low price. Was never a fan of the missiles anyway.

So it does open, but not in the way it was depicted in the anime? Well, even for a 300 USD fig, I guess some things are just not possible.

Thanks man, but I don't have a centralized album, I do have a few albums in my MW gallery, just recent stuff.

That's criminal man. i remember your VF-0 and SV-51 pics from years ago. Hell I remember the 21 and 19 V2 pics as well! if you still have computer copies of all those pictures, you should set up an album somewhere ASAP.

BTW, what does that FF-2200 sticker mean?

That's the engine the YF-19 uses. Very appropriate marking, considering the YF-22/YF-23 competition that Kawamori was inspired by. (as the engine was its own competition as well----one plane of each type used one type of each engine----of course, the slower plane combined with the weaker engine was chosen in the end...)

Nice pics!

The borders on those stickers also look much narrower than the old ones that came with the Yammie Valks.

BTW, what does that FF-2200 sticker mean?

It didn't come like that, I have to trim it one by one....

That's a cool bit of info! I'm actually tempted to put those stickers on my old Yammie YF-19 now.

No wonder they looked almost perfect. Did you actually cut the yellow "rescue" sticker into 3 separate pieces and stick them on? Try as I might, I couldn't find a single clear border on them!

No I didn't, they are too close to each other, so I keep them in one piece.

I think I have them in one of my old PCs, there were also some people asked for the 1/48 M&M photos set, just I am too lazy to check.... ;)

Same ankles...

They're worse on mine than on the VF-19, but at least they're easier to take apart. the feet come apart with one screw without having to break apart any glued pieces and the entire ankle assembly can be pulled out of the leg without breaking anything or doing anything to take apart the leg.

Hard to imagine that Arcadia won't milk the mold - but it's 50/50 on whether they will or not. My hope is that they will since there are a lot of schemes that fans have been asking for and it'd be a good way for Arcadia to keep sales going (provided they shore up some of the issues outlined in this thread).

Good luck with getting your 2nd copy.

Is this yf-19 release a one time deal like the vf-4, or will we see repaints and re-releases. I'm considering getting a payday loan to secure my 2nd unit.

Fatherly advice: Do not get a payday loan. Ever.

Can they be tightened up somehow?
