I got 2 of the VF-1J CF's, but the first one I ever got has a factory tampo print error on the kite that is on the wing. I wonder if there is a way to remove it and replace it with a water slide decal. That is actually why I bought a second one.

There's 3 method that I can think of. The kite logo is printed on the brown part of the wing, yes?

1. If the plastic is molded with the brown color instead of white, then yes, you can remove the tampo print with some solution, then apply a new kite decal on top of it.

2. If the brown part of the wing is actually painted on white plastic, you can still use some kind of solution but try not to over-apply it since you might remove the brown paint. Apply a white circle decal first since you're just removing most of the center part of the kite logo by using a solution. And once that is applied, you can apply the new kite logo on top of the white circle decal.

3. If you don't want to mess up the wing by using solution to remove the tampo print, and assuming that the wing is painted with brown paint, then you can just apply a white circle decal first on top of the existing ones, then apply a new kite logo on top of the white circle.

Just remember that the white circle should be the same size of your kite logo. Hope that helps. ;)

For the love of god do not use any chemicals to strip the tampo unless you want to strip the white stripe off too. :o

Number 3 is the safest solution.

I thought the VF-1J CF doesn't have a white stripe along the kite logo on the wing as per this pic.

But I remember David posting his 1J. And it has those white stripe on the wing. Can someone tell me which is the official. Thanks. :)

And also, is the actual release has those white paint thingy on the hips sensors like the one above compared to the press release pic?

Thanks for the suggestions!

And yes, the wings do have white stripes and the front part of the small thruster on the hip does have a white color.

I thought David was talking about the VF-1J Milia since it went for a ridiculous Y86,001.

But man, that CF-1J is just awesome. It still irks me to no end that the 1J that's absolutely my favorite just happens to be one of the rarest in existence. -_-

You're welcome Loop. Since it has a white stripe on the wings, just use method #3. Apply white circle waterslide decal first then the kite logo afterwards. ^_^

Thanks also for the clarification on the VF-1J CF white painted areas. ;)

other than the lack of packaging, what's wrong with it? also, random defender accessories?

Based on the details it says, it has Tobacco stain on the toy. And it might have some parts broken. I assumed the shoulder joint (?).

That's a good deal to be honest. But... that tobacco smell really kills it for me.

I own 2 used figures from Mandarake. I didn't know that it was owned by a smoker that time. And up to now even though I already cleaned it up with disinfecting wipes, everytime I hold it I can still smell some of it.

Yes, the weathered valks have definitely increased in value....did the Arcadia YF-19 weathered version become vaporware or did I miss the release?

didn't they say summer for the weathered 19?

That's such a steal. someone better pick it up before it's gone

For that price, I rather get three 1/3000 SDF-1's to display in both modes. And one to keep just in case.

Authenticity is up for debate......they could be studio promotional cels or really well made fan cels...they do not seem to be actual cels filmed in the production of SDFM TV....side-by-side analysis has shown obvious differences between these cels and screen caps of the actual scenes from the SDFM TV series the cels seem to be emulating....

The discussion can be found starting here:

http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15803&p=1284146

One possible theory is that these were cels specifically made for the production of this video game:

So far the smoking gun has not been located......

Those links should be put on the WTB section, sir. This thread should be for any finished auction or any completed sales that shows the final price of the item sold. ;)
