Yes, it is the official Japanese Blu-Ray released earlier this year. Japan and the USA are in the same Blu-Ray region. This will play on a US blu-ray player and PS3. However, this set does NOT come with English subs. For that, one would have to rely on a fansub. For further information you can refer to this product page on: CDJAPAN EDIT: Actually, according to CDJAPAN this item is "region-free" anyway. So Japan and USA being in the same region shouldn't matter either way... it appears that it can play in any region anyway.
