Post a pic of your absolute favorite Macross toy

But we need a mod to delete the post from people that list/post 2/3 favorites!!!

:lol: :lol:

In your last thread I chose the 1/60 VF-1S Roy Low Viz (it was very difficult relegating the 1/60 YF-21) but others mentioned more than one.

Post a pic of your absolute favorite Macross toy

(If you find this too difficult -and it SHOULD be hard- use the burning home scenario: seconds left, you get to keep only one...)

in THAT case... the first thing i'd grab wouldn't be a MACROSS toy at all, but rather my precious Mikuru-chanā™„,

along with the wardrobe i've hand-made for her in the two years i've had her now;

...that aside, in the case of a MACROSS toy, it would, in the same scenario, likely come down to my HCM VF-1J,

due to it's rarity, personal sentimentality, and the love i put into detailing it.

for me, it is a uniquely meaningful toy, THE classic among the classics;

My favorite Macross toy ever would be none other than the Yamato 1/60th scale YF-21, my favorite valk of all time. I've taken many a picture of this beauty, but the one that I'm most proud of would be this one:

PIN-POINTO BARRIA PAWNCH!

The YF-21 is my all time favorite Macross Valkyrie due to the fact that its super-sleek and blazingly fast Fighter mode turns into a hulking monster of a Battroid mode. Love the juxtaposition.

... I know we're only supposed to post one, but here's one more of the YF-21 in fighter mode.

All the other pics that I've taken of this beauty and the YF-19 are in one of the gallery threads somewhere. Or you could just take a look at all of them on my blog.

This is without a doubt, the absolute favorite Macross pre-painted model that I own, even over the 1/60 Roy DRYL VF-1S:

It's simply THE MOST anime accurate Valk ever produced, with the only possible exceptions being the VF-27's and YF-29, and upcoming VF-25 2.0 releases, of course.

Note how thin, yet deeply etched the panel lines are...even I don't see a need to panel line this, they're so deeply etched, they look like there's really separate panels making up the fuselage of the aircraft! :o

I had to repaint the Black in the thrusters on the shield section, apparently, the monkey they had doing mine fell asleep at the wheel and paint template wasn't lined up worth a crap. So I had to remove the factory paint and redo mine. (By hand!) Believe me when I say that my job turned out far better than the half-assed factory applied detail. :rolleyes::angry:

Also, in case anyone who doesn't own one didn't know, check out the amazing painted painted on detail on the insides of the wing gloves, and on the lower lip as well! :o I was very pleasantly surprised by that.

Yamato 1/60 scale VF-19Kai Fire Valkyrie, my current favorite Macross toy, until the Yamato 1/60 scale VF-19S is released later this month :)

Close second at the moment would be the Bandai 1/60 scale VF-25F Renewal Version (AKA v.2 DX VF-25F).

i love all the paint schemes based off of the flankers....yamato needs to seriously consider this and other realistic paint schemes..one in yellow/brown would be boss..seriously.... im jealous..
