kensei
If it's because of the bad economy, I'm willing to wait till it boils over and comes good. That's probably why at the moment you don't want to make so much that even popular characters become shelf warmers.

CF18
Ill ask about VE-1 and VT-1 reissues. Get back when/if I hear something. Graham If they have doubts, show them these VE-1 sold for US$300+ http://www.ebay.com/...&_dmd=1&_ipg=50 VT-1 is a bit less crazy but still one sold for US$270 http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?_nkw=vt-1+60+macross&_sacat=0&_sop=12&_dmd=1&LH_Complete=1&_odkw=vt-1+60+macross&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 Edited November 3, 2011 by CF18

MacrossJunkie
Ill ask about VE-1 and VT-1 reissues. Get back when/if I hear something. Graham Yes, especially the VE-1. I love the paint scheme on it probably even more than the accessories. If they have doubts, show them these VE-1 sold for US$300+ http://www.ebay.com/...&_dmd=1&_ipg=50 VT-1 is a bit less crazy but still one sold for US$270 http://www.ebay.com/...6.c0.m270.l1313 Yeah, we don't want to encourage Yamato with higher prices. It's bad enough as it is.
rdenham
If you don't want to wait for a re-issue Toynami is releasing their own versions of the VT-1 & VE-1 in 1/100 scale http://toyfair2011.figures.com/showphoto.php?photo=2435&title=robotech&cat=634 Edited November 11, 2011 by rdenham
mr.chogokin
How the frakk did they get the rights to those designs??? Or is the whole worldwide embargo not taken seriously now? If so, I hope it paves the way for cheaper Yamatos and better warranty policy outside of Japan.

Moreover, look how long it took them to release their latest Battlepod.
Jasonc
I was lucky to get in on the VE and VT-1 s, but the M&M 1Js I never got. They were gone before I even saw a preorder. Please let them know there's a lot of people still wanting one. In regards to the Toynami 1/100 series, it looks like the VT and VE for them is based on their single seat design. I don't remember hearing anything about that, but the whole front of them looks to be almost the same length as the standard VF-1. As a 1/100, I think they probably didn't do the full retooling for a two seater, only a color change with different add-ons? They look alright, but I'm not into the 1/100. I need more 1/60s from Yamato. Edited November 11, 2011 by Jasonc

Reïvaj
I’m not sure. It’s definitely somebody or something I know I liked back in the eighties but now I don’t remember well whether it’s an Irish guy or something to do with some sort of technology robbery. Back on topic, not interested in the Toynamis, just the 1/60s.

It makes me think the entire fuselage section is carved out of a block of wood. That gray VF-1A in one of the pics looks like it was ripped off from the original low-vis 1/48 VF-1A right down to the shade of the secondary colors and where they were placed. You know they are creatively bankrupt when they start copying non-canon color schemes.
rdenham
The Toynami 1/100 VF-1's don't even come close to the original V1 Yamato VE-1 & VT-1 let alone the much improved V2's I just though I would throw a little blood in the water. myk
You know they are creatively bankrupt when they start copying non-canon color schemes. I know right-they didn't even have an 'Elint or an O in their storylines...
mr.chogokin
What I want to know is, since HG is stealing the Super-O and the Elintseeker designs which they do not own, can Yamato and Bandai openly sell their Macross stuff Stateside? XD
MacrossJunkie
My guess is that since Tatsunoko was involved as one of the production companies for DYRL, that they at the very least believe that they have the rights to license the designs in it to other companies. Toynami was selling VF-1s with strike packs some time ago which, of course, only shows in DYRL.

Tking22
Aren't you the MW'er with the hugest crush on the RVF-25? I am, but as a matter of personal opinion I really don't think the rvf-25 looks goofy, yeah it has the dish but I never liked it on there, I leave it off and then it's just a beautiful green vf-25. The VT-1 and VE-1 are just way to much for me, particularly the heads, they don't even resemble a VF-1, I don't know I just thought they were kind of lame, which is pretty much a polar opposite of everyone else since they are 2 of the rarest and most sought after 1/60's now. jenius
I highly suspect that we're going to see a lot of Yamato reissues for the 30th anniversary. I suspect we'll have members stocking up on Elintseekers, Super-Os, Maxes and Milias. That's my guess. I just scanned this thread and here are some other notes: oynami has had international merchandising rights for Do You Remember Love for eons now. I believe they celebrated getting those rights by releasing a Hikaru VF-1S Super Poseable way back in the day. Prototypes have painted canopies... production toys do not.
