At one point Frank Herbert was considering suing. As he put it there were about "40 points of contact between Star Wars and Dune." Aside from that C-3PO is blatantly a derivative of the Maschinenmensch from Frtiz Lang's Metropolis. Something I constantly try to forget whenever I look at him/it because, unlike Hitler, that movie is not one of my favourites. And the whole thing is inspired by Flash Gordon anyway. Are the faces better on the "new" archive figs? Lando Skiff Guard should be the same figure. Some of the earlier Archive figures were improvements over the original releases like Anakin. I would get the older release Lando Skiff Guard from Amazon if it's on sale, especially considering the price increase for newer release figures. It’s an utter bitch to get them all in there on those pegs, but I appreciate the extra effort done for them. * When the light hits it just right, it looks like the engines glow: * Again, the sheer size of this thing is off the charts insane. It does look like a burly beast of a ship. * Even the stand has a nice quality look to it. * All the little bells and whistles and paint apps really do make this feel like a premium item. * Really happy with backing this sucker up!
