Another great job MJ!!! Looks fantastic... you managed to even make the minty green look good. Great photography too! Sorry I might of asked before, but what lighting setup to you use to get the background so black? Your photographs really do it justice too.

I've finally finished my RVF with the super packs too - just never get the time to photograph them, my ghosts are still naked though.

Thanks. I was happy that the crotch plate didn't look so out of place once it was panel lined and had some weathering added. Without it, it just looked like an unfinished piece of plastic. No problem on asking again. Here is my setup from a previous post: At the bottom of the post

Hope you find some time to take pics. I'd like to see your work on them too.

My VF-25G supers should be up next.

Yeah, I mentioned right after I got my Super Parts that it was terrible in Gerwalk as there is no room to move the arms at all. While the Gerwalk mode on the regular VF-25 is probably one of the best/most-free of any toy Valk with the Super packs on it's one of the worst, especially for the RVF variant. Though it really isn't the Toy's fault the design of the giant boosters on the wings effs up everything in other modes. Still, no fun to "pose."

Yeah, between the rotodome, the huge boosters, the long ELINT antenna on the arm and the shield that sticks out more than normal, there really wasn't any way to move the arms around in either battroid or GERWALK mode without cheating on occasion. I couldn't even get the freaking rear stand adapter for fighter mode in without risking scraping off clearcoat. That piece is just badly designed.

Thanks! :)

The stickers were abit troublesome and time consuming to trim but they were well worth it.

I used Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Colour. It's like a ready made enamel wash, all you have to do is run down the paint down the lines. Any excess will be cleaned up with Tamiya's X-20 thinner.

Gotta do it for my Hik 1S and Isamu 29 next..

I finished weathering my last set of super parts that have been sitting around for months.

GERWALK (yes only 1 pic. Couldn't even move the arms anywhere with the boosters in the way.)

I have to keep sayin' it, it's just beautiful MJ!!! I also love your photography of it too. Really elevates these toys - I guess it was good that Bandai made them in the shiny toy-like plastic :p - it really forced us to do something about it because it looked so awful out of the box.

Hey MJ, what do you do to prime your DX's for painting and do you just paint the raw plastic? I'm more specifically referring to the brown markings on the 25A on your profile picture. I'm planning to customise my 25A's too but afraid that the paint will get easily scratched off the shiny plastic when handling.

I wipe it down really well with a wet paper towel and then use a brush to brush off any lint left over from the paper towel. The stripes on the wing root and wings themselves shouldn't be a problem as far as scratches are concerned. I had a problem with scraping on the stripes on the sides of the forward fuselage though. Some sanding on the area as well as on the LERX should help with that. You could try spraying some primer also. Just not too much or you might need to sand the inner side of the LERX more to give more clearance.

We interrupt your usual valkyrie-porn to bring you a snapshot of Minmay in concert with Mylene and Godzilla!

HA I didn't know Godzilla can play Guitar Hero, no wonder the military ha always be trying to destroy him. Every time he wails on the thing, the shockwave shatters all the windows in Tokyo. :p

Nice to see you got yours, HLJ cancelled on mine cause I didn't have enough funds in the bank to purchase. I think it was ofr the best, I want a DYRL Roy 1S with Strike parts added to it.
