Hi guys,

just a quick music related question :D

Today I watched "M7:The Galaxy is Calling Me!" and would like to know if there is a CD with the "Heart and Soul" song on it. Was searching on CD Japan but with no result.

I think the easiest way to get it these days is on the 20th Anniversary Song Collection.

At the end of MF movie 2, Alto gets folded with the Vajra before the Quantam canons smash it. Question is,Would Alto who is not wearing any protective equipment bar the EX-gear be able to survive a fold like that being on the outside? What if the Vajra Folded into deep space,Alto is screwed.

Was Brera's YF-27 developed by the Macross Galaxy techs or from Vajra technology? Is it one of a kind?
  • Manufacturer: Macross Galaxy Variable Fighter Development Arsenal (Guld Works)

Original development by the Macross Galaxy Variable Fighter Development Arsenal based on the YF-24 which Macross Galaxy developed and used as its main fighter.

also...

  • VF-27β: Standard model. Available in commander and non-commander variants. The commander unit and the standard unit are said to have different heads.
  • VF-27γ: Custom variant with performance tuned-up to design limits, exceeding the standard unit.

Do we have numbers regarding power output of various Macross ships and their weapons ? If so, please post links.

Yes and no. Some ships are extremely detailed, and others have next to no details.

Here's a list of the human space ships that I've found over the years. Each one links to stats that have some to all of the information you're looking for (NOTE: green means official setting. Other colours invariably mean someone else's supposition.)

And some further information: http://sketchleystat....php#BACKGROUND

All the information here and in Lobizon's post is about the TV series version. The back story in the movie version is slightly different, but pretty much the same when it comes to answering your questions.

Is there a map of any kind of the Macross colony ships? I can never quite make out the one at the start of Frontier.

Officially? There are a handful of vague ones. Here's MF's Island 1: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/Island1/Island1.htm

(same map image, original size: http://sketchleystats.webatu.com/Statistics/Island1/CityMap.jpg )

Unofficially, there's one for the M7 type SLRE City Ship that people have come up with: http://nomansland.site.nfoservers.com/MRG-Active-Archive/forums/index.php?topic=1606.msg42112#msg42112

Hi everyone! So, a little over twenty years ago I first saw DYRL and never thought about it ever again until recently... and now, I must have it on Blu-ray. I'm looking at picking up the 30th anniversary box and one of the DYRL threads mentioned an online shop called Nippon-Yasan. Thinking I'm too late, the site even says it's in stock(!). Before I pull the trigger, however, are there any other places I should consider first? This place is overseas and I have little experience making online purchases outside of the US.

Holy kawamori!! Look at the price on this thing!

http://www.amazon.co...58132380&sr=8-3

I used to see it all the time for dirt cheap until a couple of years ago, and I mean like cheaper than regular bus fare. What the heck are these guys smoking??

EDIT -- I didn't notice Paliodor's post where he already mentioned Amazon. Never mind...

Maybe Vajra Queen created some kind of energy field that protected Alto from death in the vacuum.

If Ai-kun can do it, why not.

I can tell you. I ordered from Nippon-Yasan, and my box set came fast and was packed really good, so it arrived nice and safe. I payed with paypal, so it converted my dollars into yen automatically. Honestly I was worried about ordering from them at first, but my last few orders always arrive fast and safe. Not only that they were the cheapest I could find for the set. I even now, I ordered my Macross 30 Ginga wo Tsunagu Utagoe box set from them. Again they were cheapest I online store I could find.

Does anyone know the height of the SDF-1 in Attack Mode with the twin booms down? The MMM only has the dimensions in Cruiser Mode:

Dimensions: length 1,210 meters, width 496, height 312 meters; (approximate dimensions following 2012 refit) length 1,200 meters, width 600 meters.

Thanks!

Couldn't you just measure the yamato 1/3000 model with the guns down and then multiply based on the scale?

You took the words right out of my mouth... (although I was thinking Imai 1/5000...).

I don't have either model unfortunately :/

Edit: I suppose I should find a good picture of the Macross...measure it...apply an appropriate scale...etc.

The Supervision Army... They are still around by the Frontier timeline?

There's nothing to indicate that they wouldn't be.

The only things that have been clarified about their recent activities are: they passed by Earth in 1999, they attempted an ambush on Buritai's ship with a wrecked ship (kinda like an improvised roadside explosive), and the Protodevilun wanted nothing to do with them when they formed the Varohta Forces.

  • 2 weeks later...

I always took it as prophecy... and questions of chronology have no meaning where prophecy is involved.

So, figuratively, then?

Next question: We've seen Valks in some pretty extreme situations. Basara's VF-19 Kai is flying around some pretty intense cold weather on the planet Veil in Galaxy Is Calling Me! and we've seen VF-0Ds take breif underwater dives. (Is everybody ready for diving?!) So, do we have any info on the kinds of extreme conditions that Valks can take?

They can handle deep space; you know, a sunny side of 121℃, a dark side of -157℃, and able to shrug off micrometeorite hits. In M7, a pair of VFs continued to operate inside a volcano, directly over an active magma chamber.

They also function for long periods in desert (windblown sand) conditions, without apparent negative affects, and can reenter an atmosphere without any thermal protection.

I don't think we've seen a bird strike, so it's unclear how robust the fan blades are. On the other hand, I presume the canopy and other parts of the fuselage can withstand a bird strike. ;)
