Maiden Japan
I'd rather prefered cartoon style cel shaded art than this realistic look painting. I'm not saying this is bad, but personally it doesn't fit to this style. But then again it's only a package.
Shaorin
They also got Tenjin for the box art. How awesome is that? http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/article?mid=47348 very, very nice. still, it's too bad they couldn't have added a cute Minmay to the box art in the style of the girls on the covers of the current real fighter jet eggplane series... ♥My Favorite♥ and the best, in relation to the subject... Zinjo
very, very nice. still, it's too bad they couldn't have added a cute Minmay to the box art in the style of the girls on the covers of the current real fighter jet eggplane series... ♥My Favorite♥ and the best, in relation to the subject... I'm kinda surprised they didn't take advantage of the F-14 egg plane kit, toss in some Macross decals and call it Shin's F-14 from Macross Zero!! Talk about maximizing a mold. Hasegawa are masters at it!!! I am so totally getting several of these. I've been waiting for Hasegawa to do Macross egg planes for years! Jefuemon
Ohhhhh. I like the 1J even better than the 1A. Does the same kit come with decals for both or is it a different product? I picked mine up yesterday. It comes with decals for Hikaru's, Kakizaki's, and Max's VF-1A from the movie, and VF-1J decals. Looks like it's going to be a fun, easy little kit to make; and yes, I'm probably picking up 2 more to get the complete set.
Evil Bones
I found mine at the LHS here in Okinawa for 1300 Yen. Nice looking sprues & tons of decals. Cheers & Semper Fi-Jason

Zinjo
The best part about these egg planes is that Hasegawa has licenses to produce not only the various VF-1s, but the Mac Zero and Mac Plus fighters as well!! ryoshoko
Hi, I'm still relatively new to this forum, not sure if I should post completed model kit on this thread or on the toy section. I have done up a VF-1J Hikaru Ichijo and a VF-1J Max, with Max being done up in matt bright blue. Tried to be as accurate to the colour scheme, with only the pilot done up wrongly(followed the pictures found on hobby search). Will be doing a VF-1J Milia using air brush for the first time next. bigkid24
The weird thing is the idea to repaint one into Max never crossed my mind. duh. Now I know what I'll do with my extras. Thanks for the inspiration.
ryoshoko
Did a VF-1J Miria as mentioned previously. This would be my first air brush model kit, used Gaia Bright Red for all of the red. Here's some quick snap of the group shot. Edited July 18, 2010 by ryoshoko
