Minelayer
I've never seen this particular item before and was wondering if it's a bootleg? Vintage Bandai product? Never seen it before. http://cgi.ebay.com/MACROSS-ROBOTECH-1-55-...=item45f139a746

baronv
The cheapest of bootlegs of the 1/55. That thing is all plastic and barely worth the $5-$8 it usually sells for. Good only to pass onto little kids so they don't touch your original 1/55s or yamatos.

Many years back, way before we knew anything of Macross, my little brother (around 7 at the time) saw this at our local asian supermarket and had our mom buy it. I don't even know where it is anymore... the Salvation Army must've got it and probably gave it away already. Minelayer
LOL, perhaps I will take your suggestion baronv and give it to my nephew so he won't want to play with mine...or will that only make him think it's ok to touch the other ones? AcroRay
All-plastic bootleg of Bandai's 1990 "Hi Metal". I've got a few various bootlegs in my collection, and this is the cheapest, most-flimsy of them all by far. But for curiosity's sale, it might be worth about $15 or so after postage. I considered letting my kids play with mine, but it probably wouldn't last 5 minutes. I just let them play with a spare recent Bandai re-issue instead. big F
I have a fair few of them. They are good for customs as they are made of the same plastic as model kits, and glue well. Best used as a distractor for kids or static customs to display. Cant belive the buyer paid $36, I was getting mine for $5.
