Macross General SCOOPUDA thread

Really? What sort of changes? You didn't go to the screenings yourself?

The live concert version of "d Shudista b" made by CGI is screened, not that ending credits we watched before.
---
---
In short, it can only be watchable in these screenings according to this news story.
And I saw some posts about it somewhere, too. 2ch, twitter, or some fan sites.
---
来場者特典として「劇場版マクロスF~イツワリノウタヒメ~」と「劇場版マクロスF~サヨナラノツバサ~」のカットフィルムをプレゼント!
---
Moreover, the audience can have the cut films of the movies at the theater.
P.S.
Ah, this one, too. From 2ch, the Megumi Nakajima thread.

新宿バルト9のマクロス映画祭ってのに行ったんだけど、オープニング用のアルト・シェリル・
ランカのセリフをわざわざ新規で録りおろしてた。こういう細かな仕事はいまだにあるんだな。

At the top scenes of Sayonara no Tsubasa (may be, because IIRC, no lines, only narrations existed in Itsuwari no Utahime), the 3 characters' lines were re-recorded, a fan pointed out.

Some sample pics from the new boxset (extras disc cover is still a placeholder).

Thank you for the report! it's too bad you didnt get to see the screening yourself.

The end-credits change was reported on months ago, so that's not something new (we even discussed it on Speakerpodcast at one point). I didn't realise there were new line recordings done though. Interesting.

I missed it. The other Master File books have had their own topic and searching for it didn't turn up anything. Admittedly I had very little time to exhaustively search.

HLJ has a VF-22 Master File book listed due out in March as well...

Annnnnnnd I should probably check the collectors thread. Sorry everyone.

A sample of Arcadia's GU-11 human-sized gunpod will be displayed at the Tokyo Animation Center Official Shop at the UDX Building in Akihabara from February 28 to March 9.

Anyone in the area, be sure to check it out!

According to the website, photography allowed around the gun pod.

You can take pics of it. But don't take the other things' inside of the shop.

Just noticed on the Macross Portal site that Macross F is being rebroadcast.

Stations are: Tokyo MX, Sun Terebi (yay!), Terebi Aichi, Terebi Hokkaido, TV Q Kyushu Housou, BS11.

Check the link for times: http://macross.jp/

(apologies if this is old news that someone already posted.)

Oshare Macross starts in Kyoto tomorrow and features this new, more traditionally themed Japanese art.

Darn it. I'm waffling on going or not, as March has been really brutal on the finances (not completely, but partially due to the consumption tax increase. grrr!)

Some more linkies on it:

Great Mechanics.DX 28 also came out earlier this week.

Alas, the only Macross content is a Kawamori-signed 1/60 Arcadia VF-1J 30 Anniversary Edition (for one lucky person who returns the mail-in enclosed in the magazine).

That said, if you like mecha, as always, the magazine is packed with it, from anime (Abyss Of Hyperspace, Gundam (original, overview of all the series, Build Fighters, Unicorn eps 7), VOTOMS, Buddy Complex, Nobunaga The Fool (mostly finished CG renders, but some painted hand drawn pieces), Giant Gogu, Girls And Panzer, Broken Blade, Visual Collection of the world of Roman Tomu, Captain Earth, and Danbain) to real world mechanics (US navy (aircraft and wing ordinance), and the Shinkansen).

Spotted by forum user Peter at the Comic Walker booth at Anime Japan today - a Macross the First sketch by Haruhiko Mikimoto. Comic Walker is a new digital manga service by Kadokawa that includes manga such as Yamato 2199 and Gundam the Origin.

Could this mean that Macross the First is returning in digital form?

A search for it at the newly launched Comic Walker site comes up with no hits at this point, but it may be worth keeping an eye on the service in the future just in case.
