Chokinzoku SG-01
I am looking for a 1983 Takatoku 1/55 VF-1S that came in a blue box with Roy Focker on the cover, not Hikaru Ichijo. If you have this item, I will gladly pay you $1,000 immediately via PayPal for MIB or Near MIB condition. Thanks
xstoys
As far as I know, Takatoku never made a box for the 1/55 VF-1S (blue box) with a Roy Focker on the front of the box. Every one I have ever seen has the Hikaru character on the front of the box. If you have proof of one that exist, please post a pic. glane21
I've heard tale of this but I think if one existed it would have been shown or mentioned in that recent article about the Takatoku Macross toys where the 4 variants of the VF-1J Hikaru box were pointed out. Excillon
Mine has Hikaru on the box as well. I've never even heard that before.

Totoro242
I agree, if it did exist it would have surfaced by now. I remember this started about 7 or 8 years ago when a MW member posted that he saw one in 1983 in Japan when they were first released. The search has been on ever since, but nigh a specimen or a photograph has surfaced. Not even a catalog or toy ad shows the box in question. I find it hard to believe that after 25 years one hasnt surfaced, so I would say with relative certainty it doesnt exist. Maybe a prototype box that never hit the shelves, but not an actual production toy.
Chokinzoku SG-01
I heard this was produced...Can't remember where though but it is a rare piece... You are right, it was produced and is extremely, extremely rare. There are other people aware of its existence. Apparently the run was so small because Takatoku management figured it made no sense to produce a toy with a dead character on the cover.
