Titanium Series toys

Recommended Posts

I love the Hasbro Titanium Series tiny little ships. I know they make Star Wars, Transformers, Spider-Man, Indiana Jones, and Battlestar Galactica, though I only collect the Battlestar Galactica ones, and have bought a few of the Star Wars and Transformers ones for my son.

Anyway, I was thinking how fantastic it would be to have some anime ones like these, specifically of the many very cool ships (in my opinion) from MOSPEADA. I'm sure there would be a huge market for Gundam ones too, though I'm personally not into Gundam.

What do other people think?

Also, I saw in some recent pics from some toy show, maybe Winterfest, in Japan what looked like that Titanium Series-like (meaning size and basic design) ships from Macross, but can't find the link now. Anyone have any info on these?

Thanks.

I have the BSG ones as well as some of the 6" Transformers series (which I rather liked).

Would be cool to see some Mospeada definately, especially some enemy inbits, but I too prefer the larger transforming toys.

Could be these:

1/200 Macross Variable Fighters Collection

Such small scale collectibles are actually currently being fulfilled by "shokugan" (candy toys). Also often described as "trading figures" or "gashapon". Basically these are small scale plastic toys sold at convenience stores in Japan. One of the nice things about them is that they are usually in a specific scale (1/144 is most common). The bad thing about them is that they are blind boxed and the only way we get them here is buying them by the full set.

Those are very cool, but not the ones I had in mind. The ones I saw were of the sort of support ships from the original Macross, the blue and white ones. Specifically, I think there was one of those ones with the long pole-like sensor thing on it.

Probably doesn't help much.

Nice. All very cool stuff. Unfortunately, still not what I had in mind.

I'm going to look for it some more, then post it here.

As for the Star Wars stuff, very cool, but my son is into the newer stuff (the prequel movies), as opposed to the original trilogy that I grew up on.

EDIT: Just looked, thought maybe it was in the MOSPEADA thread, but I can't find it. It was some link to pics from a recent toy show.

Whatever happened to the Titanium Battlestar Galactica Cylon Basestar (new series) that was supposed to get a release? I saw a picture of it on BBTS, but it was never ever stocked.

No idea. I've never seen it. Hasbro doesn't list it on their site (and they do list a bunch of older out of stock ones). No sign of it on Amazon or eBay.
