Wow over $30 in shipping just from Amazon (that's before any customs & duties!) - its getting crazy these days.  Any suggestions for any other online retailers or stores in Canada or is Amazon.jp still my best bet?

I'm paying aproximately 31 USD for 2 books using their priority shipping service....it's usually about 21 USD for one book.....I guess I have nothing to complain about in terms of shipping rates...AJ is my "go to" retailer for Macross Books...unless I have accumulated enough points to purchase elsewhere....in either case, no other site will be able to have my book at my doorstep quicker than AJ

You could try https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-2823965

Should be abt the same price overall but hey who knows if its cheaper to your region.

Am ordering via CDJ cos bundling it with the HJ mechanics DYRL mag. Didnt want to wait for HLJ to backorder the HJ mechanics DRYL.

Looks like I need to sign up for a twitter account. I don't see a "Japanese Residents Only' requirement unless I missed something.

If you follow Shogakukan, and post a pic of your book cover with the hash sign macross sign, then you are eligible to win a Takani/Miyatake signed pic

"In order to eliminate applications for the purpose of resale, we will
If  it is determined that a Twitter account has been established just for this application"

So if you are not a fan, but have been a twit for years....you can potentially win and sell it....LOL

Again...thanks to Google Translate's constant improvements...I am able to get more out of the book than the cool pics....for example....these pics found in the book's section on the lineart that was used as reference for companies like Arii and Takatoku....

The top image has been published before and details a gimmick that thus far has only been reproduced on the original Takatoku 1/3000 SDF-1....

The bottom image, I belive, is something new....it details a concept that was proposed to hold the Prometheus and Daedelus for the Takatoku 1/3000 SDF-1 before the idea was scrapped and the decision was made to simply add wheels to them.....

No wheels on the prototype....
