AFAIK, Azureus is the only first-rate BitTorrent client that can be used with a Mac. Yeah I guess if I read your abov post I would have noticed that... Though it appears that they're still working on it. It might be worth trying at least. http://mac.utorrent.com/ Otherwise, Transmission looks promising.
