 Eva died in the 90's. :p And even then I wouldn't watch it. :)

MisaForsaken, I love you like a brother, so it hurts me when you say stupid things like that. :p

But enough flamebait...here's something I found on Google search:

MacrossA.jpg

I'm not entirely sure what the whole means...but it mentions the Mikimoto manga, a Macross F Gag Manga, and newly created story manga; information on new DVDs, games, and animation; and columns written by various people associated with Macross (it'd be nice if one of them were Mari Iijima, her blog on her old website was kinda fun).

The prices in the lower half, however, elude me...mostly because (once again) I'm too lazy to pull out my kanji dictionary for something like this. It's getting enough of a workout from the VF-25 page in Macross Chronicle.

Ah. Missed that second update. Clearly the ANN guy and I were looking at the same text...

And at last we know the schedule...it's quarterly. Which is fine by me.

More like "variable pimp-mobiles playing basketball"...

Animedia

Jan 09, Issue

Excellent. So is official then... I always knew they were going to release the movie in 2009 since the original series took place on that year... ^_^

Just updated the Macross Frontier Movie article at wikipedia with the new info... B))

So according to those ratings.

Frontier has the best selling OST's, Single, and Blu-Ray's of the year?

No, it's single, album, and ringtone download. ^_^

(And I'm glad to see that "Ash Like Snow" is there SOMEwhere, even if only in the ringtone section. I couldn't care less about Gundam 00, but I'm a HUGE Brilliant Green fan.)

Are those region 2 DVDs and do they have english subtitles?

My Beast Wars Takara reissue DVDs work just fine on my laptop - so I guess I can play Japanese DVDs.

If they have subtitles - I'm gonna get it. Box looks great.

How many yen does it cost?

Yes they are R2 DVDs and no they don't have subtitles.

The DVD prices tend to vary a bit, but the BD are fairly consistent...

Ship stat? What ship? Darn, need to buy one fast if I had spare cash.....

Ships are (in order of appearance):

Macross Quarter

ARMD-R

ARMD-L

Battle Galaxy

Battle Frontier

and little blurbs on:

Uraga (Uraga Class Escort Space Carrier)

Maizura (Guantanamo Class Space Carrier)

Stealth Cruiser (no class given)

Stealth Frigate (Northhampton Class - looks like the Compendium's Bolognese Class is in error.)

Kaitosu (Denebu Class)

Darufimu (no class given)

Island I

Island III

As the text is significant, as much if not more so than the actual stats blurbs, looks like I'll be dropping the Macross Chronicle translation for the coming week or 2 and working on this.

That looks very promising! I can't wait to see more.

The Macross Compendium doesn't state the class of the stealth frigate, only the name. Just like many of the Macross 7 fleet ships, only "West Point" is designated specifically as a "class" of ship on the Compendium, all the others are only names of the ships.

I believe Northampton is correct. That class name has been around for over a decade and Macross Frontier confirmed it. We just don't know the original source of the name "Northampton", but the name came from some official source because it's been thrown around the fandom circles for years.
