Figured it was gonna be either Luca (stealing that good-bye unrequited love kiss) or Klan (finally joining her one-true love in Valhalla) to bite it. But that's only natural at this point; not much point in making a final episode if you give it all away in the preview. Wouldn't it be awful if episode 25 pulled a Gunbuster, though, and was just Kawamori flipping through album pages while narrating the ending? DUH I couldn't really make it out in the live stream, but even being Mao's granddaughter would be a pretty big upgrade from "just another orphan" status. As for Alto being dead... yeah, it seems pretty unlikely that he's really dead. Naturally, we didn't see a body being lovingly disintegrated. Although it'd be really ballsy if he was. And even if all the viewers are assuming he's not really dead, it was still a big dramatic moment. After all, the people in-universe have to deal with the fact that he probably just bit it; I have no idea how Sheryl's going to react after the initial shock. Angry? Suicidal? Hopeless? I could see a way where Alto might really be dead, tying into Sheryl's earrings (which are apparently prone to being blown up in combat when accompanying Alto). He might end up as a fold spirit, carried off by the earring. That would be less cheap than the more common fake death, but I don't know if I really think it's going to happen. No body or close-ups seems to point pretty strongly to him having survived. Definitely want to pour over this episode with a magnifying glass once the HD raws are out. Nah, Togo's always like that. Just gotta develop a thick skin around him. Anyway, my favorite part of this episode: When the NUNS forces get caught in a Vajra beam barrage and shot down en masse. For some reason, I just love it, drama-wise, when a battle goes poorly for the "good guys." Plus Leon must be crapping his pants. SMS is untouched right now. It looks like they're going to play a huge role in the finale, but that's not really a surprise, is it? Brera didn't manage to kill Klan again, think she'll live through episode 25? Question about the singing of "Ai Oboete Imasu ka": Do you think it's a song the Vajra know, or one that Ranka picked, or maybe Grace? If they already know it, might be the clearest hint we get about the ultimate fate of Megaroad-01... Interesting how the Galaxy ship can just pass through the Vajra without hostility. I wonder how Grace manages to stir them up against Frontier, and yet leave her own side untouched. That's some real deft control there.
