anime52k8 Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 On a second thought, the major concern I have with VE-1 is those tiny antenna I bet they are gonna make it in soft PU materials that can withstand bending or else they are gonna have some big issue with stiff ABS plastic. I never had V1 ve-1 so I don't know what they were made off, anyone? I don't know about the original VE-1, but I suspect that rather than using soft PU/PVC they'd be more likely to use somehting like POM like they did with the canards of the YF-19. Gotta love Overdrive's "immediate" shipping cost once you are ready to buy. SAL was not even an option when I ordered two v2 1/60's and two sets of Super & Strike part sets. Besides easy navigation of their site I received my goods in 3 days. I'll still purchase from HLJ because they have supported the MWcon over the years, but right now Overdrive is my first preference. eh, at this point I still use HLJ more than OD. I'll use both and their service tends to be about the same so for the most part it comes down to who whichever has the item in stock for the cheapest price, which usually ends up being HLJ. HLJ has mor frequent sales, usually has more items in stock, and carries stuff that OD just doesn't. mostly though I like HLJ because they DON'T charge you up front on preorders. derex3592 Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 (edited) Agreed, I made the mistake of ordering a Kaki and Pre-Ordering a CF-1A from OD over a month ago and they charged my card for both, but I guess I'm not getting either until the CF is released in August..... And yea....this one is definitly gonna have to come with some kind of stand for fighter mode......or at least it SHOULD!! Oh! just noticed I got promoted! 50th post! Sweet! Omegablue Posted July 3, 2009 Share Posted July 3, 2009 With the Virgin Road confirmed on it's way (appears like a dark blue 1D in the tiny pic in the scoopa thread) what remains to know is will it came with the missle pods and clusters, will it come with a gun pod, and will it have additional fodder pilots? I really do hope it has additional fodder pilots and a gun pod to convince me. Displaying it with the couple on the way to the wedding is not my thing. Not a fan of the others. Though looking at the pic, I really can't identify if it's really a 1D or a 1J? UPDATE!!! It could very well be a 1J two seater! It has the white stripe on the head??? Well if you remember Max was always winning alot of Macross credits at the arcades, so he probably brought an entire hangar of Vf's for himself. He was escorting Misa back to Earth. He got promoted and had flight prior to escorting Misa. He already went to VF-1J. It was never shown in battroid mode and the head laser was shown as a 1A, by mistake I guess. Maybe if I inherit a bunch of money or something in the next couple months . . .
