Is it handled by Nara, or have they subcontracted out to a Philippine/Korean/Chinese studio again? Also, I take it there is little or no mecha action this week? Graham I think this episode is by the original again. Everything looks good again so i don't think that the filipinos touched this ep.. The TBS airing of Episode 12, unfortunately, has been pushed to 27:30 JST (3:30AM JST, 2:30PM EST/11:30AM PST). The MBS airing is fine so don't go spreading misinformation. -As of writing, nothing but the HD raws. Sorry Gubaba -And that's 12-hours. If you haven't watched the episode yet, please leave the thread if you don't wish to be spoiled. Now on to the show. I liked this episode. Very nicely done character moments. Any mecha action would have spoiled this episode and turned me off. It really sucks to be Ranka. But when Ranka and Alto get their alone time in a couple of weeks, we shall see. I think Ranka will turn around and find out it's not all that to be an idol like Sheryl. It's a nice contrast to see Sheryl, an idol who enjoys being a normal girl for a change, and Ranka, a normal girl who wants to be idol. I'll give Alto a break since it was his birthday present and his family situation ain't pretty, but this episode really shows his more selfish-ness. This doesn't really show that he's into Sheryl, but that he wants to fly. Given the choice of 2 lovely ladies and flying, he chooses the latter. Both girls should slap that boy. The pendulum goes off on a tangent so you think there's progress, but in reality, both Sheryl and Ranka lose to flying. Plus, the mecha action episodes such as 7 and 9 have gotten the lowest ratings, so I expect more and more character-centric episodes and less and less mecha action. Sorry Gubaba Ah well...turns out I can actually watch the HD version on my old, old computer if I shut EVERYTHING else down...and it only skips during action scenes, so this ep was fine. Speaking of which...good episode! I really feel for Ranka...just when everything's going right, everything's going wrong, too... (And I'm kicking myself for not finishing the next section of the Nyan Fro. Liner Notes before this episode aired, since they mention that the old Nyan Nyan CM has been replaced by the Ranka Version...poor Lin Minmé!) Does Sheryl have the V-Virus? And if she does, how did she get it? From contaminated panties...? I think you'd need nerves of steel to eat in that restaurant...at least, I would. And next episode! YAY! KAMJIN SNOT DEAD!!!! It definitely wins the prize for "The most useless episode if you don't have subtitles", above any other that I have seen so far. The preview for the next episode was FANTASTIC. I think that the eyecatch was the most boring/least creative one that they have had on the series. Bring on next weeks episode. As rude as it may have been to skip out on Ranka (he probably should have at least called her beforehand to decline), this opportunity is something that he may not see again for a very long time. If I have the choice between a 'once a year' opportunity or to spend some time with people that I see frequently anyway... ... the friends are probably going to lose out. Spend time eating cookies with a friend he sees every day or go partake of something he's been dreaming of doing for a long time? There's simply no contest. And I wouldn't at all hold it against him for going flying instead. Now if he regularly skips out on his friends to go flying then there's an issue. But we haven't seen any indication of that yet. Did anyone catch what Ozma said to Cathy? It sounded as if he was ranting over something related to Ranka. Messing with Ranka is definitely not something I would want to do with Ozma around. ^^;; I think Alto's uneasy around both women. I think he sees Ranka more as a "little sister" type of relationship, which would make her evident intent to get closer to him uncomfortable. And I think he's still trying to figure Sheryl out.
