If the Nome connection is real, I am wondering if her mother didn't disappear because of something the Galaxy had her involved with, and if they already have plans for Sheryl? Interesting. It's a selling point and actually a part of her appeal. She mentions it in ep 5. Interesting to notice that the translator for gattai noted the hanamichi thing. While it is relevant to kabuki, I just simply translated in a way that gets the meaning across and works in English. I think I did "It's your show now!" or something. Yeah, I noticed that, too...I kind of wish the negative voters for this ep would've given reasons why they disliked it, like "There are too many asteroids," or "I hate Fire Bomber and they mentioned Planet Dance in this episode," or "Vomit jokes are not funny," or "Ranka's a shemale with a glowing tummy, and that's just unnatural," or "Giant robots that turn into planes? Pop singers? Love triangles??? This is not what I watch Macross for!!!" At the very least, it would've given the rest of us something more to talk about... I don't usually find anything wrong with Gattai's subs but I watched the first few minutes and found subs that didn't seem right at all. Kakuhannourou = Nuclear reactor but kaku isn't there so reactor makes sense. In retrospect, that makes a line I did in ep 6 wrong. Haha. So, ok, here is my idea. You get a whole bunch of ships powered by this purple stone. Then you sing to it, and your ships are super powered. Imagine if Basara did the singing. All the ships in the Frontier fleet will gattai and form SUPER DIMENSIONAL GALAXY FRONTIER MACROSS! Anyway going back to my "what if" from a year and half ago of a new macross series, my original idea was that the new macross will be able to combine with another ships and or modules, and it may have the ability to do short distance folds to attack behind enemy lines, and get out almost immediately like a ninja.
