The Weathering special comes with a note taped to the inside of the box. http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/7162/dsc00004ok7.jpg This note is a general thank you for buying the Weathering Special. It then explains that the paint job is all hand applied as well as the decals. So it warns the owners to be careful, lest they scratch the custom paint and decals. Given that each weathering is had applied, the cost of labor to mass produce this would be ridiculous. For a whole week, I thought I had a chance. :-( Regarding shipping, I did a check on Canada Post and the cost to ship to my United States address was $40. So the seller's $50 isn't far off. I emailed the seller earlier in the week and she's open to local pickups for free; which is great for me, but it's already past what I'm willing to pay. :-( I think I'm about to quit being a 1/48 completist especially with the weather VF-1S Strike and VF-1A Max exclusives coming out. As another member pointed out there is no "Limited Edition" wording on the box or anywhere else. So there maybe hope they may reissue it again. I think the only true limited edition Valks are the Low Viz 1, which there is a "Limited" word on the box, the JBC card Black VF-1J (only 4 or 5 in the world) and also the W.S. VF-1S Hikaru (where Yamato has annouced only 250 units would be produced) Take for example the Revoltech Ultra Magnus, when was released last year, it was a hobby specialist shop exclusive, but just last month, they reissue the Ultra Magnus.
